Background

Yin Kuang was raised in the isolated Liulong Village, where his admission to a prestigious university was celebrated throughout the community. He was regarded as the village’s first genuine top scholar despite his thin, youthful appearance. 1

His initial University profile describes him as a youth from a mysterious mountain village who conceals beast-like ferocity beneath an outwardly simple nature. He is deeply filial: the Kitchen God’s Amulet, imbued with his mother’s love, moves him to tears when he discovers it among his possessions. 5

Upon entering the University, Yin Kuang learns that he has only thirty-four years of lifespan and that every death costs ten more. This threat becomes a defining motive behind his pursuit of strength and survival. 5 50
