Background / History

Dai Yueheng was among the Inner Academy students Ma Xiaotao approached after bringing the infant Lu Heqiu to Shrek Academy. He immediately declined her attempt to make him the child’s caretaker, stating that child-rearing was her responsibility. 1

When Yan Shaozhe asked him to test Lu Heqiu’s unusual strength, Dai Yueheng grasped the sleeping infant’s hand. Lu Heqiu’s casual squeeze nearly crushed the bones around Dai Yueheng’s tiger’s mouth, prompting him to instinctively release his Martial Soul and briefly mistake the child for a Fierce Beast. 2

Dai later confirmed that he had felt severe suppression when releasing his Evil Eye White Tiger near Lu Heqiu. Testing established that Lu Heqiu’s sealing power affected Soul Masters below Soul Sage, reducing their combat power and slowing their soul-skill activation within a fifteen-meter radius. 6

After Lu Heqiu returned from the Star Dou Great Forest with a hundred-thousand-year soul ring, Dai agreed to duel him at the Soul Dueling Arena under Elder Wang’s supervision. He accepted the match despite the extreme disparity in age, though he remained concerned about accidentally injuring Lu Heqiu. 21 22

During the duel, Dai used his White Tiger Blazing Light Wave and defensive soul skills, but Lu Heqiu’s lock-on Demon Subduer dispersed his attack and forced Elder Wang to intervene. Dai openly conceded defeat, acknowledging that he would have been injured even if he had attempted to endure the attack. 23

Dai Yueheng is a large, sturdy young man with a massive frame and tiger-like eyes. His eyes are heterochromatic when he releases his Martial Soul. 2 21

He is not recklessly arrogant in battle. Before accepting Lu Heqiu’s challenge, he insisted on Elder Wang’s presence to ensure the child would not be harmed. Once the danger of Lu Heqiu’s soul skill became clear, he admitted defeat without excuses. 21 23
