The Seraphim's attack came incredibly fast. Luffy had revealed only the briefest opening, yet his enemy had seized the opportunity with precision.
In the blink of an eye, S-Tsugikuni Yoriichi had arrived in front of Luffy, his long blade slashing down toward Luffy's face.
The moment Luffy looked up, he saw the gleam of the blade flash toward him. He hurriedly leaped backward to evade it, only to suddenly feel a searing pain in his chest. Warmth blossomed from his chest as scarlet blood sprayed from the wound and splattered across the ground.
After landing back on the ground, Luffy had no time to inspect his injuries. While he still had the strength, he thrust both palms forward and fiercely slammed them toward S-Tsugikuni Yoriichi.
But perhaps because of his wound, or perhaps because his stamina had dropped sharply, Luffy's attack was far less threatening than before.
S-Tsugikuni Yoriichi, several meters away, showed no intention of retreating. Instead, his black wings shook, and he accelerated straight toward Luffy.
To the Seraphim, the injured Luffy was simply prey waiting to be hunted. Would wild beasts retreat after their prey had been wounded?
