Ling Xiao’s First Soul Ring Hunt
Bibi Dong leads Ling Xiao and Hu Liena into the Star Dou Forest to seek Ling Xiao’s first soul ring. She assigns Ghost Douluo to lead the party and Chrysanthemum Douluo to protect the rear, treating the hunt as a heavily guarded expedition 6.
After rejecting several unsuitable soul beasts, the group reaches the Scarlet Dream Flower Sea. Ling Xiao chooses the Scarlet Dream Heart Fox because its mental-control, Charm, and illusion attributes match his intended control-system path 7 8.
Ling Xiao and Hu Liena’s Joint Hunt
After Ling Xiao reaches level 20 and Hu Liena reaches level 30, they return to the forest under Chrysanthemum Douluo’s protection. Their trip is delayed by travel through surrounding towns before they enter through the area near Falling Star Town 18 19.
Ling Xiao refuses several candidates, including a Mysterious Steel Python and a Ghost Vine, before discovering the rare Dragon Blood Vine deeper in the forest. He successfully absorbs its soul ring despite the risk posed by its age and the danger of the surrounding region 23 24 25.
Mist Valley Expedition
Following Ling Xiao’s breakthrough, the group travels to Mist Valley to obtain Hu Liena’s third soul ring. The valley’s illusions and spiritual interference hinder normal perception, but Ling Xiao detects the Silver Moon Demon Fox hidden near a pool 26 27.
Chrysanthemum Douluo suppresses the fox, allowing Hu Liena to absorb its thousand-year soul ring and gain Demon Fox Transformation, a skill that substantially improves her attributes, speed, and spiritual power 27.
