Background / History

A year before the story began, Jiang Che awakened memories and wisdom from a past life. With them came a Proficiency Panel that records any skill he learns to the entry level and lets him raise its proficiency through practice until perfection. He began training at White Cloud Martial Hall at sixteen, hoping to sense blood-qi before the hall's deadline for apprentices. 1

Before becoming a martial artist, he supported himself through a letter-writing stall in the West District and later accepted forgery work from Wonderful Heart Studio using his calligraphy. His early need for income remained closely tied to cultivation: his mediocre aptitude made Blood-Qi conversion slow, while supplements and exotic beast meat were necessary to sustain progress. 3 6 13

After becoming Luo Kun's official disciple, Jiang Che joined Zhenyuan Escort Agency jobs to earn resources and gain real combat experience.
