"Gu Yi, don't go... Gu Yi!"

At the inn, Zhu Zhuqing jolted awake. Her entire body was drenched in cold sweat as she sat on the bed, gasping for breath.

She looked around at her surroundings in confusion, and the image of Gu Yi vanishing surfaced in her mind once more.

"Gu Yi! Wait for me. I'm going back to find you right now."

Zhu Zhuqing did not even stop to think about how she had left the forest. There was only one thought in her mind now: she had to hurry back and find Gu Yi.

But before she could get out of bed, Dai Mubai shoved her door open.

"Zhuqing! Zhuqing, you're finally awake. How are you feeling now?"

With a smile on his face, Dai Mubai walked toward Zhu Zhuqing.

But Zhu Zhuqing ignored him completely and strode toward the door.

Dai Mubai's smile froze. Anger flared in his eyes as he grabbed Zhu Zhuqing's arm and continued, "It's useless even if you go back now. Against the Titan Giant Ape, Gu Yi had no chance of escaping at all."

"He's probably already been reduced to nothing but bones."

Zhu Zhuqing could not be bothered to listen to his nonsense. She struggled fiercely with her right arm, then fixed Dai Mubai with a cold stare and said in a low voice, "Let go."

"Can you be rational for once? Gu Yi is dead! He's never coming back! Going to Star Dou Great Forest now is nothing but suicide!"

The smile vanished from Dai Mubai's face, replaced by fury. He looked at Zhu Zhuqing and roared.

"Let go!"

Zhu Zhuqing could not take in a single word of his nonsense. In her heart, whether Gu Yi was dead or alive, she had to go see for herself.

Even if it cost her life!

But how could Dai Mubai understand how she felt? His right hand remained tightly clamped around her arm, refusing to let go like a shameless brute.

"Zhu Zhuqing! Gu Yi is just an outsider you've known for a few days! I'm your fiancé. I'm the one you should be worried about, not that Gu Yi!"

Dai Mubai continued trying to persuade her earnestly. He hoped Zhu Zhuqing would turn back and return to his side.

"My fiancé? Heh! You stopped being that a long time ago!"

Zhu Zhuqing spoke coldly. Her pretty face was now covered in frost, as though she might strike at any moment.

The commotion here caught the others' attention as well. At the same time, an identical scene was playing out in the room next door.

Zhu Zhuqing's outburst had also awakened Xiao Wu. She, too, insisted on going back to take a look. After all, as long as she was there, Gu Yi still had a sliver of hope.

He truly could not stand watching anymore. In the end, this was all because of him. If he had been stronger, if he had been more careful, Gu Yi would not have needed to sacrifice himself.

"Oscar, make me a few Mushroom Sausages. I'll go back and take a look myself. If Gu Yi is really still alive, I'll be responsible for bringing him back."

No matter what, Zhu Zhuqing had to personally confirm whether Gu Yi was safe. She could not wait any longer. The panic in her heart was nearly driving her mad.

Upon hearing that, Zhu Zhuqing and Xiao Wu did not hesitate at all. Together, they shook off the hands gripping them, hurried over to Oscar to take the Mushroom Sausages, and flew swiftly toward the forest.

Zhao Wuji was not willing to fall behind either, and he followed closely after them.

At the side of the corridor, Ning Rongrong leaned against the wall, silently watching the farce that had just unfolded. She was utterly puzzled.
