The information Gilgamesh's words contained was staggering.
In particular, what did he mean by, "I'm merely bringing the future forward"?
Everyone struggled to process it. Kaname Tosen, especially, couldn't help asking aloud.
"What exactly are you talking about? How could Captain Aizen be the second ruler of Hueco Mundo? He's clearly still..."
At that, Kaname Tosen froze. He seemed to realize something, and cold sweat unconsciously beaded on his face. He murmured, "That's right. He isn't yet. But what about the future?"
Kaname Tosen knew Sosuke Aizen's plans well. He was certain that, in the future, Aizen would seize control of Hueco Mundo.
Wouldn't that make him its ruler?
After glancing at Kaname Tosen, Sosuke Aizen asked, "So you really can see the future?"
Aizen asked if it was "really" because Gilgamesh had already demonstrated his ability to foresee things during his earlier battle with Miho Kano.
At the time, however, Sosuke Aizen hadn't considered that Gilgamesh could foresee the future. He'd assumed Gilgamesh had the same beastlike battle instincts as Kenpachi Zaraki.
Tier Halibel couldn't follow the conversation anymore. The information being revealed was beyond her comprehension, and she didn't know what to say. All she could do was look toward Gilgamesh.
Gilgamesh stroked Yoruichi Shihouin as he replied, "I cannot foresee the future. I can see it."
The two words differed by only a little, but their meanings were worlds apart.
Foreseeing the future meant predicting what might happen. What one foresaw wasn't necessarily accurate; it was only a possible future.
Seeing the future, on the other hand, meant witnessing what was already determined to happen.
Sosuke Aizen clearly understood the difference. His Adam's apple bobbed slightly, as if he wanted to say something, but he couldn't find the words. His heart trembled faintly.
As for Gin Ichimaru,
