Background

The Doom-Bringing Raven originated as one of three unique fate blessings offered to Yang Qizhou after the power associated with a statue in an Ancient Earth ruin responded to his arrival. Yang chose it over the Giant God Bloodline and Ancient God Affinitor blessings. Its defining privilege is to let its bearer regret a choice—an act described as blasphemy against fate, which even gods and Ancient Dominators ordinarily cannot commit. 1

Its first activation followed Yang's death after looking directly at Ancient Earth's distorted sun. Rather than accept an ordinary resurrection, he returned to the moment before his previous choice, retaining the fatal knowledge that looking at the sun would kill him. 1

The Raven soon crossed from World of Weirdness into reality. It appeared as a living raven tattoo on Yang's right hand, then responded when he invoked it to revisit his earlier choice of snacks with Ding Xiaolan. 2

Manifestation

The Raven ordinarily manifests on the back of Yang Qizhou's right hand as a tattoo, but it behaves as though alive. 1 2

Fate Blasphemy

The Doom-Bringing Raven returns Yang to the moment immediately before his last consequential choice while preserving the fate, knowledge, and benefits of the abandoned timeline. 1 3 12

• Lets Yang explore mutually exclusive choices without permanently forfeiting prior gains. 1 9
• Allows him to retain items gained before a rollback; after he took the Rag Stained with the Great Lord's Blood, the original rag reappeared on the altar after the reset while he still possessed the first one. 12
• Can produce new possibilities from knowledge gained in a previous timeline, as when an altered escape option appeared while the Old God of the Abyss pursued him. 40

Daily Uses

The Raven has a daily limit of five fate rollbacks. Its uses refresh at midnight alongside Yang's three ordinary resurrection chances. 1 6 31
