Yao Chen had been cooped up for several days and was getting restless.
When he learned that Xiao Yu was willing to let him out, on the condition that he lend him his strength, Yao Chen agreed without hesitation.
The last time they were at the Xiao Clan, he had lent Xiao Yu his strength.
He had assumed it would be just like last time—a simple show of force.
Who could have guessed that this time they would be facing a Tier 6 Magical Beast, and one in a state of fury at that?
"Don't panic, old man. You don't have to do anything. Just watch me work."
Xiao Yu replied calmly, his gaze fixed on the Amethyst Winged Lion King descending straight toward him.
Its enormous form cast a shadow over Xiao Yu.
"Human, hand that woman over to me, and I'll spare your life."
The Amethyst Winged Lion King's voice was low. Its bloodshot eyes brimmed with murderous intent as it stared at the unconscious Yun Yun.
It didn't take Xiao Yu seriously.
It had noticed Xiao Yu earlier, when Yun Yun had first spotted him.
But he was only a Dou Master, and someone like that wasn't worth its attention.
Any one of its underlings could crush him as easily as an ant.
"Spare my life? No, no, no. Your attitude is all wrong." Even under the stare of those enormous, blood-red eyes, Xiao Yu remained composed.
As if he couldn't see the Amethyst Winged Lion King's murderous glare, he said mildly, "Besides, you've got the wrong title. You should call me Master, not human."

It was the ruler of the eastern part of the Magical Beast Mountain Range! A Tier 6 Magical Beast, the Amethyst Winged Lion King.

Several nearby magical beasts couldn't get out of the way in time and were crushed into bloody pulp.

From inside the crater, the Amethyst Winged Lion King roared in fury.
But aside from speaking, it couldn't move at all.
It had discovered that its body no longer obeyed its commands.
"You still don't understand what's going on?" Xiao Yu shook his head slightly and slowly descended.
The Amethyst Winged Lion King began rolling in agony in the crater, clutching its enormous head with both forelegs.
It felt as though a needle had been driven into its skull and was twisting around without pause.
The pain was far worse than when the horn on its head had been sliced off.
Xiao Yu watched it silently.
"Boy, what did you do to it? What was that piece of paper?"
Shocked by the Amethyst Winged Lion King's strange behavior, Yao Chen emerged from the ring, his gaze full of suspicion.
He felt as though all the experience he had accumulated over his many years roaming the continent was about to crumble.
A Tier 6 Magical Beast had been controlled by an inconspicuous piece of paper.
And now, the Amethyst Winged Lion King seemed unable to resist.
"A way to control magical beasts. You don't even know about this?" Xiao Yu looked at Yao Chen.
His casual tone made it sound like he was talking about something trivial.
Yao Chen froze, his eyes full of bewilderment.
Was I supposed to know? How would I know? In all my years, I've never seen a Dou Master control a Tier 6 Magical Beast.
Just then, the Amethyst Winged Lion King below could hold out no longer. In a hoarse voice, it said, "M-Master, I know I was wrong. Please spare me."
"Would've been better if you'd said that sooner." Hearing it submit, Xiao Yu shifted his thoughts.

It was worried that if it left the Magical Beast Mountain Range, the little lion might be hurt without its protection.
"Sure." Xiao Yu agreed. He was a parent himself and understood how the Amethyst Winged Lion King felt.
Yao Chen returned to the ring and spoke to Xiao Yu in his mind. "Boy, you actually did it? How exactly did you manage that?"
He was incredibly curious.
Yao Chen had visited many ruins, but he had never come across a way for a Dou Master to control a Tier 6 Magical Beast.
If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he would hardly have believed it was real.
Xiao Yu didn't answer. He sealed Yao Chen away again.

"Where is she? Did she leave first?" Xiao Yu wondered.
The Amethyst Winged Lion King asked, "Master, are you looking for someone?"
Xiao Yu replied, "Yes."
"I sense a human presence to the front left. I don't know if it's the person you're looking for." As a Tier 6 Magical Beast, the Amethyst Winged Lion King could sense things from much farther away than Xiao Yu.
"Go take a look," Xiao Yu ordered.
The Amethyst Winged Lion King took off again. It was fast, covering several hundred meters in just a few breaths.
In the forest below was a large, sturdy blue eagle, and beside it stood a figure.
Completely focused, she was tensely facing off against another magical beast.
Xiao Yi Xian gripped a wooden stick she had picked up, standing beside the Blue Eagle.
After Xiao Yu left, she had originally wanted to leave as well.
But the aftershock from the battle between the Amethyst Winged Lion King and Yun Yun had been too powerful. The Blue Eagle had been pinned down and couldn't even get up, let alone fly.
With no other choice, Xiao Yi Xian had to wait. She couldn't just abandon Xiao Lan and run away alone.
She had waited for an entire afternoon.
At last, Xiao Lan was able to fly. Xiao Yi Xian eagerly climbed onto its back and urged it to hurry away.
But they hadn't flown far when a magical beast suddenly burst out from the side and slammed into the Blue Eagle's belly.

The magical beast stood across from Xiao Yi Xian. It seemed to know its prey posed little threat, so it didn't immediately pounce and tear into her.

Xiao Yi Xian waved the wooden stick, shouting to bolster her own courage.
She was far too weak, and the magical beast before her radiated an aura at least as powerful as a Tier 3 Magical Beast.
"ROAR!"
The beast suddenly roared.

The next second, she saw the magical beast turn around and leave.
"What's going on? Why did it run?"
Xiao Yi Xian stood there, stunned. Then she saw a streak of Purple Flame fall from the sky.
The magical beast that had nearly driven her to despair was burned to ashes.
Just then, an enormous shadow fell over Xiao Yi Xian.
The already injured Blue Eagle began trembling even more violently, as if it had encountered a terrifying natural enemy.
Xiao Yi Xian's heart lurched. She slowly turned around and looked up.
"The Amethyst Winged Lion King?!"
The instant she recognized the figure overhead, her mind went blank, and she screamed in shock.
