Countless thoughts and flashes of inspiration rose in Huang Tian's mind. His spirit sank into the unseen as he refined, bit by bit, the Dao Source he had gained from this descent into a lower dimension.
He did not know how much time had passed. Then, at a certain moment, his body trembled. He had finally refined the Dao Source within his Yellow Court, and his soul blossomed with a faint silver radiance of extraordinary beauty.
At that same moment, a Colorless Crystal inexplicably appeared within his Yellow Court. No, colorless was not quite right: one-third of the crystal had turned purple. Only the remaining two-thirds was colorless.
He looked inward at his Yellow Court. Stirred by a thought, he sent his divine sense into the crystal. When it touched the purple portion, he felt a vast, boundless desolation, lofty beyond measure.
"This is... the Dao Source of [Heaven]."
Understanding dawned at once. He then probed the remaining colorless portion with his divine sense, but the instant he touched it, he found nothing. There was no information at all, as though it were a stretch of void. If he had not been able to "see" it, he might have thought it did not exist and was merely an illusion.
"I remember Jing Huan telling me that Dimensional Demon Gods—or rather, Dimensional Saints—must gather three Dao Sources and unite them as the Three Powers before attempting the final leap... I've completed one-third of that now. Is that why one-third of this crystal has filled?"
He pondered
