A mighty voice rolled across the Ya'en Empire's Imperial Capital. All of the metropolis's tens of millions of residents heard it, and every one of them was stunned.
Pedestrians on the streets looked up and pulled out their phones to take pictures. People inside towers and homes hurried to windows or out onto the streets, uncertain and alarmed, and gazed toward the sky.
The sky had been clear for miles, but a tremendous wind had somehow sprung up. It swept banks of dark clouds overhead, and daylight rapidly faded.
Crack!
A bolt of purple lightning suddenly spanned heaven and earth, bathing the Imperial Capital in deep violet. Thunder rumbled. A slightly blurred figure stood unsupported amid the black clouds and lightning, looking from afar like a fearsome thunder god!
"What's going on? Is someone undergoing a heavenly tribulation, or has the thunder god descended?"
"Was that the person in the sky speaking just now? Did he tell Forrest to come out and die?"
"Isn't Forrest our nation's guardian general? Can he fly too?"
"Your sources are too limited. There aren't many people in this world who can soar through the sky or burrow beneath the earth, but there aren't that few, either. Forrest is among the strongest of them."
"Have they become immortals? I want to cultivate immortality too! To live ten thousand times ten thousand years!"
