But if Danzo "invited" him first, that would be another matter entirely.
Human nature was a strange thing.
People were always suspicious and dismissive of things handed to them, but if they had to fight to get them, they treated them like treasures.
That was exactly how White Dove was playing it now.
First, at the clan meeting today, he had made it clear that he wanted to create a New Uchiha. At the same time, he had shown off his strength and made Danzo see his value.
That would make Danzo do everything he could to win him over, while keeping him from suspecting White Dove's true objective.
His real goal wasn't to become Danzo's dog. He wanted to take a shortcut to Kage Level, then "turn the tables" and drain Root of its resources, giving his New Uchiha the means to grow.
