After leaving Yuhi Shinku's house, Akiyama Shun headed to Tsunade's home.
Unlike usual, there was no smell of alcohol in Tsunade's house. When Akiyama Shun pushed open the door, he found Tsunade sitting in the living room with her chin resting on her hand, as if she had been waiting for him.
"You're here, brat?" Tsunade raised her eyes and glanced at Akiyama Shun.
"Yeah, I'm here," he replied.
What kind of conversation was this supposed to be?
Was their communication unbelievably inefficient or what?
After listening to them, Shizune's mouth twitched. But given the mood, she swallowed her comment.
"I..."
Akiyama Shun had barely begun when Tsunade raised a hand to cut him off.
"You don't have to say it. I know. You submitted a request to go to the front, and the old man approved it."
Tsunade seemed to sink into her memories, and pain began to show on her face.
"I hate war. Nearly everyone I was close to died because of it. Brat, even though I often tell you to live however you want, the truth is that I really don't want you taking part in the Ninja World War. The more Tsunade spoke, the more pained her expression became. Akiyama Shun cut her off. "So I won't die."
Tsunade looked up at Akiyama Shun's confident gaze and froze for a moment.
"I promise you, Teacher Tsunade. I won't die on the battlefield. I'll come back alive."
Tsunade gazed at Akiyama Shun in silence. After a few minutes, she sighed.
