Uchiha Hikari

After figuring out how the system worked, Tokiju closed all the panels and began to properly explore the space he was in.

Tokiju used the chakra inside him to propel himself forward. He wanted to see whether this space had any boundaries.

He hadn't gone far before he collided with an invisible barrier.

He felt along the barrier. It seemed incredibly sturdy, and with his current abilities, there was no way he could break through by force.

Suddenly, Tokiju had an idea. He began slowly pouring chakra into the barrier.

Before long, something remarkable happened.

Various black symbols began appearing on the barrier, which had been invisible until then.

Tokiju was very familiar with these black symbols. Although they differed in many ways from what he knew, one thing was certain: they were sealing symbols.

These sealing symbols were simply very advanced, and Tokiju still couldn't quite understand them.

But that was all right. He still had the detailed explanations of all kinds of Sealing Jutsu that Uzumaki Mito had given him.

Once he had fully mastered all those Sealing Jutsu, he should be able to work out how to deal with the sealing symbols before him.

He was still worried about his little brother Nawaki, but he could barely look after himself right now, so all he could do was keep that worry to himself.

For now, the more important thing was to figure out why this space existed.

Since sealing symbols were present here, this had to be a Sealing Space containing something.

Only by finding what had been sealed could he better analyze the sealing technique.

With that in mind, Tokiju immediately looked around in every direction to see if he could spot anything unusual.

Before long, he spotted a blurry shadow behind him.

Visibility was poor in this place, so Tokiju could only make out its general shape. The shadow seemed to be human.

Figuring it couldn't hurt to be cautious, Tokiju gathered a fist-sized orb of light in his hand.

The orb had no offensive power. Its only purpose was to provide light.

This was one of the ways he could use his newly acquired Right Eye of Light.

The ability of his right eye was simple and direct: absorb light energy, then use it. That was all.

Overall, although it was simple, it was an ability with an incredibly high ceiling and floor.

As for the Eye of Time in his left eye...

Tokiju still couldn't sense exactly what it did.

After all, time manipulation was one of the most overpowered abilities around. Given Tokiju's current strength, it made sense that he couldn't master it.

He tossed the orb of light toward the shadow.

The orb illuminated the shadow, and Tokiju saw a girl in a dark blue dress, floating silently in midair.

Her feet were wrapped in bandages, and a pair of shackles encircled her ankles.

Seeing this, Tokiju didn't rush over.

The girl hadn't reacted to the sudden appearance of the orb, but anyone who had been sealed away couldn't be ordinary.

"Hey! You up ahead! If you can talk, say something!"

Tokiju shouted at the person in front of him, but got no response at all.

Seeing this, Tokiju formed another orb of light in his hand, this time compressing it.

He tossed the orb over again.

As it reached the girl, Tokiju immediately shouted, "Flash!"

A dazzling light burst forth, briefly illuminating the dim space.

That's right. It was a makeshift flashbang Tokiju had created by compressing light energy.

Even Tokiju, floating some distance away, was caught by the flash, let alone the Uchiha girl facing it head-on.

A light that intense would hurt even with your eyes closed.

Yet the Uchiha before him remained perfectly still, as if she were dead.

Only then did Tokiju slowly float over.

Once he was close, he could finally see what she looked like.

Her worn dark blue dress set off her eleven- or twelve-year-old figure, while her lovely face was framed by long, smooth black hair.

The girl's appearance gradually matched the figure in Tokiju's memory.

"Is this... Uchiha Hikari?" Tokiju exclaimed.

Tokiju had never watched Boruto: Naruto Next Generations or played the Ultimate Ninja Storm games, but he had heard of Uchiha Hikari.

She seemed to have been an Uchiha born in the distant Warring States era.

After her parents were killed in battle, she awakened an incredibly powerful Mangekyō Sharingan, and her clanmates treated her like a weapon.

And because her generation was even older than Uchiha Madara's, netizens jokingly called her the Uchiha Great-Grandmother.

In the end, because her power was too great, she was sealed away by the Senju Clan and the Sarutobi Clan working together.

"Ah, now that I think about it, I'm probably her enemy too..."

Recalling everything he knew, Tokiju could only offer a rueful smile.

The girl before him wasn't exactly someone you could easily get along with. Though, from the story, she seemed like a girl who loved and hated with all her heart.

But all of that depended on Boruto being able to travel through time.

Tokiju didn't have that kind of ability...

Wait, didn't he have the Eye of Time? Maybe he could travel through time once he developed it?

He wasn't sure, and besides, Tokiju didn't plan to undo her seal just yet. His knowledge of sealing techniques still wasn't enough.

With that in mind, Tokiju circled Uchiha Hikari once, then leaned in for a closer look.

"She really is beautiful. No wonder she's so popular in the Naruto fandom."

Tokiju murmured, placing a hand on her shoulder before slowly pouring chakra into her.

As the chakra flowed in, one black sealing symbol after another gradually appeared on her skin.

Looking at the sealing symbols before him, which were much sparser than those on the barrier, Tokiju understood.

He withdrew his hand and murmured to himself, "It looks like the barrier around us is the main part of the seal."

"Ah, forget it. I can't break these sealing symbols yet. I'd better keep studying the Sealing Jutsu Grandma Mito gave me."

With that, Tokiju took out the sealing scroll and began studying it.

Day after day passed.

It might have been ten years, or perhaps twenty. Tokiju himself had no idea how much time had gone by.

Over all those years, Tokiju had carefully studied every Sealing Jutsu Uzumaki Mito had given him and developed his Dual Eyes of Time.

The main reason was that he was so bored he had to find things to occupy himself.

But there was nothing in this space except Uchiha Hikari. Apart from studying Sealing Jutsu, he couldn't find anything else to do.

That wasn't even the main problem. More than anything, the long solitude had nearly driven Tokiju mad.

All he wanted was someone to complain to about what had happened to him, to let out all the loneliness he had built up over the years.

And there was someone right in front of him who could do that: Uchiha Hikari.

Now he was going to try to undo the sealing symbols on Uchiha Hikari, so she could move freely around this Sealing Space just like him.

As for the consequences? He didn't want to think about them at all.
