Saint Elmo's Fire × Sword Training in the Storm
"Caw~ caw..." Seagulls circled overhead, flapping their wings and fleeing. One fool, in its panic, ran headfirst into the mast, flapped twice, and fell onto the deck.
The voyage to Doli Island was not always smooth sailing; large waves would often cause the ship to pitch and roll.
Even if some people weren't hunted, those suffering from seasickness or acclimatization issues couldn't hold on any longer and became targets for others. Once their number was taken, they were immediately eliminated and forcibly shoved into the cabin. And as time went on, this situation became more and more serious.
Those still standing on the deck were all familiar faces: Roy, Gotoh, Kurajing, Kite,
And the Bald Ninja Yusuke.
"Looks like these are the people we'll be using this year." Mark Sim, with Gus repairing the "Poseidon," lingered on Roy for a few seconds, his gaze filled with resentment... but he dared not show it at all.
The Sun-Earring Boy was too exaggerated and too hateful... He was practically a ship killer, carving a trench nearly ten meters long with a single slash. Luckily, the ship's hull was sturdy enough and the keel was solid enough, otherwise he would have really dismantled it.
However, now is far from the time to complain... "She's right, the storm is coming!"
The old captain, with his pipe dangling from his lips, took a deep drag, squinted at the sky not far away, where dark, heavy clouds had gathered and soon completely blocked out the sunlight, darkening the entire sky.
"Boom!" Several bolts of lightning struck, and purple fluorescence appeared on the mast...
Kite frowned; she was standing too high and nearly got struck by lightning, so she quickly slid down the pole.
"It's the Saint Elmo's Fire! You've got some nerve!" Mark Sim, pipe in mouth, glared at him, a serious expression creeping onto his weathered face. "Legend has it that anyone who sees the Flame of Saint Duel will ultimately perish."
"Kid, be glad you got lucky."
Kite pulled down her hat brim without speaking, glancing at Roy and Gotoh. The two, one sitting and one standing, remained completely still.
Kurajing yearns for the vastness of the world and reads a lot, occasionally encountered this phenomenon in popular science books. He added an explanation, "It's not that mysterious. It's just that the static electrons in the air or charged rain clouds affect the electrons on the mainsail, resulting in a luminous phenomenon."
"You seem to know quite a lot." Gotoh glanced at her in surprise, a sense of crisis creeping into her heart.
Kurajing smiled, thinking to herself that at least it had some effect.
Then Mark Sim shouted, "Gus, take the helm! The rest of you, come with me and hold the sails!"
Immediately gather the sailors, hoist the sails, and lead the way to turn around in order to weather the storm!
"Whoosh~" The sea breeze blowing in my face grew stronger and stronger...
Compared to the vastness of nature, man-made ships appear incredibly small!
"Boom!" The tsunami, like furious beasts, relentlessly crashed against the "Poseidon".
The Poseidon cruised on the crests of the waves, as if walking on thin ice, tossing and turning, emitting mournful cries.
Those who get seasick severely... their intestines are thrown up from the turbulence...
The sounds of vomiting echoed throughout the room, and people on the deck were bounced around like balls by the ship's sides.
Only a few managed to remain normal: Roy, Gotoh, Kite, and the Bald Ninja Yusuke. As for Kurajing, she cleverly clung to the mast to avoid being "bounced" out, but she was still pale and kept her mouth tightly shut, trying her best not to vomit.
The difference between having "thought" and not having "thought" is thus revealed.
Gotoh's feet seemed to be nailed to the deck, refusing to budge... Kite pulled down her hat brim, then simply sat cross-legged on the deck, reached out and grabbed a flying apple, taking a bite.
The Bald Ninja Yusuke even had the leisure to stand on a wooden barrel and roll it around while practicing a one-handed handstand... As for Roy...
The Sun-Earring Boy, like an old monk in deep meditation, sat cross-legged at the bow of the boat, his Cane Sword resting flat on his knees, pondering how to combine "sun" and "water."
Ignore the impending storm...
"Drip~" Not long after, the dark, heavy clouds finally drifted over the "Poseidon"... The rain began to fall, and it intensified, turning into a torrential downpour in the blink of an eye, soaking everyone to the bone.
"Crack!" Another bolt of lightning struck down.
Mark Sim craned his neck and shouted towards the deck, "What are you all standing there for? Get inside the cabin!"
Yusuke rubbed his bald head, leaped off the barrel, and tactfully walked over... Kite followed behind him, flicking her wrist to toss the remaining apple core into the sea...
The deck is now empty, with only Roy Gotoh and Kurajing remaining.
"I can't... I can't hold on any longer." The girl gagged weakly, glancing at Roy, and said, "Young Master, I'll wait for you in the cabin."
Gotoh glared at him immediately, her pupils filled with murderous intent!
"Mind your place..." the young butler said in a dangerous tone.
Kurajing looked at Roy...
The Sun-Earring Boy ignored her, waved to Gotoh, and let her leave... Kurajing as if she had been granted a pardon, stopped insisting, and stumbled into the cabin.
"Boom!" Another thunderous explosion rang out!
Gotoh said worriedly, "Young Master..."
Roy closed his eyes in thought, then opened them again and looked up at the dark clouds, only to be stunned... Dark clouds loomed over the city, threatening to crush it.
What's the next line?
"The armor gleams in the sunlight, like golden scales unfolding... Ah... So good..."
The Sun-Earring Boy suddenly stood up, and in the pouring rain, a sudden inspiration struck him; with a clang, he drew his Cane Sword!
He told Gotoh, "Don't worry about me."
With a single step, his feet were covered in a layer of Duck Webbing, and he unleashed "Water Walking," treading the waves and charging into the storm without looking back!
Waterfalls are too childish; only storms, only storms, can put pressure on Roy.
"Either you are reborn under pressure, or you die under pressure." He suddenly remembered this saying, and immediately unleashed a "Water Surface Slash," dancing wildly in the storm!
"Young Master!" Gotoh was dumbfounded, standing frozen at the bow of the boat, unsure whether to go forward or backward, completely stunned.
He shouted, and Mark Sim, who was instructing the sailors to hold the sails steady, noticed something amiss. Following his gaze, he saw the Sun-Earring Boy, like a piece of duckweed, plunge into the storm.
"This is absolutely insane!"
"Water Breathing - First Form: Water Surface Slash... Second Form: Water Wheel... Third Form: Flowing Dance..."
The typhoon made Roy's face tighten, and the wind forced him to raise his arm with difficulty. Visibly, large veins crawled out from under his body like writhing dragons... At this moment, the Sun-Earring Boy's face was ferocious, and two suns burst out of his pupils. He stubbornly swung his knife, and with each exhale, a Scorching Heat dragon of air spewed from his nostrils!
