The yellow-eyed Crow Men were manufactured replicas, stripped of almost all emotion, yet under this blood-colored moon, they had learned one.
Fear.
The night was meant to be their camouflage, but that layer of protection was easily torn into rags by that man.
With terrifying strength, a single punch was enough to end a Crow Man's life. If it hit the torso, it was fine—the body would remain intact—but once it struck the head or similar areas, those "fragile" bones would turn to mush.
The number of Crow Men was vast; they could have easily bypassed Zhou Hong to take out Hibiki Gousuke, yet these creatures did not do so.
Instead, they utilized human-wave tactics, constantly swarming toward Zhou Hong.
Crow Men were continuously sent flying out of the encirclement. Violent, unbridled power vented wantonly among the crowd, and Zhou Hong's bare upper body was splattered with blood, the spraying gore seemingly dressing him in a suit of crimson armor.
Occasionally, a few overconfident Crow Men would try to test the extent of this man's strength, only to find that testing meant dying.
The man charging headlong seemed as though he could never be defeated; despite the long duration of the struggle, there was not the slightest sign of his stamina waning.
The Crow Men began to dispatch a few elites armed with Shrink Guns, but Hibiki Gousuke was no slouch either.
Several Crow Men wielding Shrink Ray Guns were picked off by Hibiki Gousuke's precise fire; that marksmanship fully demonstrated that Hibiki Gousuke had not been slacking off during his time in the ground support forces.
This allowed Zhou Hong to slaughter them even faster.
Meanwhile, the Crow Men began to close in on the target they had previously ignored.
Faced with the terrifying numbers of the Crow Men, Hibiki Gousuke felt utterly useless, though fortunately, his long training meant he could run fast.
The ammunition in his Hyper Gun was empty, leaving only a weapon designed by Horii to counter the Shrink Ray.
But it had no lethality.
He lacked Zhou Hong's terrifying strength; running back would only add to Zhou Hong's trouble, and standing here meant only watching those Crow Men continuously drain his stamina until he was finished off.
Based on Hibiki Gousuke's understanding of Zhou Hong's monstrous stamina, these Crow Men were likely only enough for a warm-up, while he himself would be done for.
Amidst the noisy environment, a footstep suddenly came from behind Hibiki Gousuke.
Hibiki Gousuke twisted his torso, utilizing the power of his waist to react instantly, swinging out a heavy punch.
Yet, that heavy punch was caught in the embrace of a silver hand.
With skin interwoven with three colors and eyes like lightbulbs, Tiga stood at the same height as them. Hibiki Gousuke opened his mouth, but was speechless for a moment.
Tiga could actually shrink to human size!
Tiga nodded at Hibiki Gousuke and, like a wolf among sheep, sent the outer circle of Crow Men flying with a single sweep.
Tiga did not hold back, directly tearing some of the blocking Crow Men in half.
Coupled with Tiga's prominent muscle definition, he appeared inexplicably ferocious.
With a few beams of light combined with hand-to-hand combat, the already terrified Crow Men scattered in all directions.
Zhou Hong shook off the blood that refused to be wiped clean and couldn't help but curl his lip, "Not much combat power, but first-class at causing trouble."
"Chaa!"
Tiga initiated an encrypted communication, but Zhou Hong indicated he didn't understand the Orion language.
Perhaps Tiga hadn't expected Zhou Hong to understand anyway; regardless, he pressed his hands together, and a surging flow of water washed Zhou Hong clean, followed by a wave of his hand that dried the moisture with warm air.
"Is this Ultra Clean! Tiga actually has such a skill in his repertoire!"
Zhou Hong was deeply shocked; perhaps for the Ultra Ancient era, cleaning one's body was the primary method of maintaining one's aura.
That was why Tiga had to know this move.
"Shua!"
Although he still hadn't cracked Tiga's encrypted communication, Zhou Hong "roughly" understood what he wanted to express.
"Follow Xiao Bai; it has already tracked the scent of humans. Following it should lead us to the Crow Men's command room."
As the Ultra nodded, Xiao Bai crawled out from a shadowy corner.
The cry it let out had a slight tremor; it was likely quite frightened, partly by the Crow Men and partly by Zhou Hong.
When Zhou Hong's slightly bloodshot eyes swept toward it, its pure white fur suddenly stood on end, and the slender creature instantly turned into a fluffy ball.
Despite being a monster, it was unexpectedly timid.
Zhou Hong scratched his head; it was truly cute enough to melt this tough guy, but looking at Xiao Bai's state, he figured that if he got any closer, it would curl up, cover its eyes with its tail, and roll into a circle.
"Big Tiga, you take Xiao Bai and go."
Zhou Hong's gaze turned back to those figures in the darkness, "Letting these guys run off would be quite a nuisance."
His sturdy frame was filled with murderous intent under the moonlight as he quickly slipped into the shadows, where roars and screams echoed in the area for a long time.
Tiga slowly crouched down and picked up the White Fox. The light on his body was very gentle, feeling as warm as being in a mother's embrace, just like the mild sun in winter, causing Xiao Bai's bristled fur to slowly calm down.
Facing such a gesture from its benefactor, it felt extremely ashamed, wishing it could bury its head in a pile of sand.
Even with such thoughts, it understood its mission and gathered its courage to act as a hound, pointing the way for Tiga with "yoyo" sounds.
At an abrupt corner, a Crow Man jumped out. Tiga's muscles rippled in unison, the power from his toes to his shoulders synchronized, and his free hand flashed out in a blur.
The air shrieked as the Crow Man's body flew backward at an even greater speed.
A crimson hue spread through the darkness, and the droplets of blood that sprayed out landed upon the White Fox.
The Crow Man did not even manage a single "caw" of agony before his broken corpse collided with the wall.
Even under the shroud of darkness, the permeating blood remained strikingly visible.
The splattered fresh blood added a touch of vivid color to Xiao Bai's pure white fur, causing its gaze to gradually turn vacant; its previously soft tail stiffened, transforming into a rigid, straight line.
Did I join an organization that looks righteous on the surface but is actually evil behind the scenes?
The little demon fell into deep thought.
But there was no time left for it to ponder!
The speed at which Tiga sprinted caused Xiao Bai to instinctively reach out its claws and grip the Being of Light tightly. After a shift in posture amidst a flash of crimson light, Tiga transformed into his Power Type, his hands now unleashed to hammer the Crow Men with even greater force.
Beneath Tiga's thick, powerful arms, the only thing those Crow Men could do was offer meaningless resistance.
The lucky ones were at least able to leave behind a final "caw" as their last words.
