Update Notice and Regarding This Book

I presume you have all seen the content in the title; this is my first time opening a book here on Qidian.

I can truly be called a pure novice author, and to have attracted so much traffic with my first book has already surpassed the majority of other authors.

However, the problems are also quite obvious; lacking experience with my first book, issues have emerged one after another. During the trial period, the follow-read count didn't drop but actually continued to rise, yet after the book went live, the follow-read count plummeted.

The popularity only held for a few days before it also began to slide, and my mindset is no longer in it; I'm sure you have all noticed that my updates have been unstable lately.

I am only making seventy or eighty yuan a day, which is nowhere near enough to survive as a university student in a major city like Shanghai.

Although my living expenses combined with my current royalties are enough to get by, I still want to rely on my own efforts to lighten the burden on my family regarding tuition, housing, and all the miscellaneous costs of books and supplies.

After all, as an author, I am an adult; I cannot rely on my family forever and must learn to be self-reliant early on so that I can enter society with a steady footing.

Since this book is my first, I would feel a bit guilty if I were to just let it end poorly like this. Updates will be sporadic, but at the very least, I will see it through to the end.
