Background / History

At eight years old, Ye Que survived an ambush by Death Douluo Ye Xishui that destroyed his family. His father sacrificed himself so Ye Que could escape. Ye Que subsequently lived as a fugitive, surviving in the wilderness and fighting Evil Soul Masters while building his cultivation 1.

Ten thousand years after the Great War of the Three Gods, he visited Qian Renxue's grave. Her remnant soul brought him to the Angel Temple and used faith power to fuse six fragments of the Angel Divine Set into him. This triggered a secondary martial-soul awakening, restored his ultimate attributes, planted a seed of divinity within him, and gave him a route toward creating his own god position through sufficient faith 1 2.

Ye Que vowed to eradicate Evil Soul Masters, revive the Angel Clan, and restore the Angel Clan's radiance to the continent. He acted on that vow immediately by protecting a small city, awakening a commoner's daughter with the Flame Jade Falcon martial soul, destroying the Evil Soul Masters who abducted infants, and returning the children to their families 2 3 4.

In the Star Dou Forest, Ye Que encountered Guangyu Douluo and the Zhengtian Academy group. Guangyu recognized him as the long-sought Young Master of the surviving Martial Soul Hall descendants, whose elder families had hidden beyond the Ice Sea. Ye Que accepted their support but insisted that the lineage develop discreetly until it had enough strength and faith to return openly 5 6.

Ye Que is described as a handsome blond youth. When using his Angel martial soul, he manifests radiant angel wings and carries the aura of the Angel God's lineage 5 6.

Personality

Ye Que is determined, self-reliant, and deeply conscious of the Angel Clan's decline. Having survived alone after his family's death, he is reluctant to depend on others and believes his lineage must rebuild through its own efforts 1 5.

He is ruthless toward Evil Soul Masters but compassionate toward ordinary people. He sees eliminating Evil Soul Masters as an Angel Soul Master's duty, helps civilians without seeking repayment, and is emotionally affected by the gratitude of those he saves 2 3 4.

Despite his exceptional strength, Ye Que often dismisses praise as “luck.” He is also pragmatic and politically cautious: he avoids open conflict until the surviving Martial Soul Hall forces are strong enough, builds alliances with the Body Sect, and remains alert to betrayal within his camp 6 9 21 30.
