"D-Date?" Bibi Dong froze. "N-Not really, right?"
"How was it not?"
"Candlelight, dinner, just the two of us—wasn't this a standard candlelit dinner?"
It would have been fine if he had not said anything, but once he did, the more Bibi Dong looked at it, the more it resembled one.
Warm yellow candlelight, a quiet night, her parents and little brother asleep in their rooms, leaving only the two of them sitting across from each other for dinner.
This atmosphere was practically a date, no question about it.

Qian Xunji picked up a piece of braised pork and put it into his mouth. "With a beauty by my side and delicious food to enjoy, how could I not be happy?"

Bibi Dong smiled as well, picking up some meat with her chopsticks and preparing to place it in his bowl. "Teacher, have some food."

"The bowl is too far away. My mouth is closer."
"And it saves time."
Bibi Dong snorted, set down her chopsticks, and deliberately scrutinized him with suspicious eyes. "Teacher is so smooth-talking. Did you chat with lots of girls before?"
"Wouldn't you know whether I did?"
"How would I know?"
