After hearing those words, the Emperor merely nodded.

But Malcador's words now echoed directly in the Emperor's ears.

The words Malcador had spoken that night.

So the Emperor felt that he had to say something. He spoke. "Revenge is not our goal. The unification of humanity is. I know you might say this is not my hatred, that I can talk because it does not hurt me, but I have faced the same choice as you."

"Should we set aside hatred for the greater good, gain the submission of our enemies along with their subordinates and resources, or insist on waging a war that need not be fought for the sake of revenge?"

The Emperor wanted Qin Mo to understand this.
