Qin Mo had been about to teach materials science when the Emperor said "not learning," and that was the first thought that popped into his head.

The Emperor was clearly quite interested in materials science, or he would not have asked about it. So naturally, he did not truly mean that he did not want to learn; he was merely taking a small "revenge" for Qin Mo's three consecutive refusals earlier.

Qin Mo felt that the Emperor's "not learning" was mostly a joke, but there was not the slightest trace of humor on the man's face. Instead, he looked utterly serious.

"Not learning?" Qin Mo made as if to rise. "Then forget it."

The Emperor sat where he was, expressionlessly watching Qin Mo.

It was as though the words "steady as Mount Tai" were written across the middle-aged man's clothes.

Qin Mo naturally rose from his chair and walked toward the exit of the secret chamber.

Only when Qin Mo very naturally placed his hand on the doorknob did the Emperor, who had remained as steady as Mount Tai behind him, slowly speak. "Don't. I'll learn."

"You're dying of curiosity inside, yet you still have to act like you don't care. Why not just say so?" Qin Mo turned around and returned to the Emperor's side.

"It's not quite dying of curiosity..." The Emperor produced pen and paper from thin air. "But I do want to learn."

The two switched positions. Qin Mo now stood beside the blackboard, though he did not use any teaching aids. Instead, he pried up a small section of the secret chamber's floor, held it floating in midair, and explained as he altered its material structure.
