Qin Mo took two steps back and looked toward the Emperor.
As Mimic released its anchoring of Taranis's material form, the Emperor awakened his protected soul from its dormant state.
Taranis jolted awake on the operating table, drawing in a deep breath like a suffocating man finally reaching fresh air. Then he sat up and began gasping violently.
"How do you feel?" Qin Mo stepped forward, lifted Taranis's eyelid, and examined his eye.
"I feel like I died once." Taranis recalled that shudder-inducing sensation. "I left my body, but just as I was about to enter a dark and terrifying world, I was stopped. I stood to one side and watched you dissect my corpse."
"Not dissection. Improvement." Qin Mo lowered Taranis's eyelid. "You've been reborn through nirvana."
Taranis gradually calmed down.
"Done." Qin Mo was highly satisfied with Taranis's condition. "We'll tell Malcador the good news later."
"You tell Malcador yourself. I'm not going." The Emperor removed his gloves, turned around, and sat at a table in the corner of the laboratory.
Ever since returning to the Himalayas, the Emperor had not spoken to Malcador again. He was clearly somewhat dissatisfied over what had happened at the Terra Watt Tribe. Although Malcador had explained that he truly had needed to use Psychic Power to test the production line for the Terra Watt people, it was still difficult to explain why he had failed to appear when Qin Mo pressed him step by step.
Qin Mo was not worried that the Emperor and Malcador would fall out over such a trivial matter. Everyone had emotions. He figured that within two days, the pair would be whispering to each other through Psychic Power again.
Just as the Emperor was unwilling to seek out Malcador,
