The Emperor operated the instruments, examining the Primarchs' hair and inferring their growth conditions.
Qin Mo sat quietly to one side, waiting.
The Primarchs appeared to be in excellent condition. The Emperor glanced at the examination report, set it down, and did not mention their condition at all.
"Do you find Sanguinius's wings strange?" The Emperor sat across from Qin Mo and took out two drinks.
"Somewhat strange, but as I said before, he is a steadfast person, so the wings do no harm." Qin Mo said.
The Emperor nodded and took a sip.
Qin Mo could hear the bubbles bursting in the Emperor's mouth, yet the Emperor remained expressionless and utterly unmoved, as though he had merely drunk a glass of water.
That was not satisfying enough.
Qin Mo picked up the carbonated drink and drained it in one gulp.

Setting down his cup, Qin Mo looked at the Emperor.

"When I first drank a carbonated beverage, my reaction was just like that." The Emperor studied the cup. "In the twentieth century, Ol'Peson and I were hunkered down in the trenches on Iwo Jima. A supply ship delivered a crate of cola, and we each got a bottle."
