"What should we do?"

"I'm a prisoner! I didn't get a gun before!"

"What else can we do but hold the line!"

"I have no gun! I have no gun! I have no gun!"

"I'll operate the logging gun, you take my lasgun!"

Some prisoners still survived, armed only with tools like shovels and hammers. These were the smart ones; they knew to find the soldiers nearby and fight alongside them. That's why they survived.

From the bunker, the fixed logging gun spewed flames half a meter long, and beams of laser fire erupted from the firing ports.

The presence of these people greatly relieved Qin Mo's pressure. He no longer had to clear enemy infantry; he only needed to target those carrying explosives among the rebel infantry and watch out for armored vehicles like tanks.

But the rebels were too numerous. Sooner or later, they would reach the bunker. Thus, Qin Mo realized he had to prepare for close combat.

He scanned the battlefield as he attacked the enemy.

Kalon had died at some point; his scepter was planted in the ground.

Among a pile of corpses stood a Chainsword.

Qin Mo immediately reached out.

Two weapons floated up, spun, and flew into the bunker, landing on the ground.

This was telekinesis, Qin Mo's third ability besides unleashing fire and lightning.

Qin Mo was not only looking out for himself but also for others. He used telekinesis to manipulate scattered weapons and equipment on the battlefield, finding body armor and bringing it into the bunker to distribute to others.

The quality of this armor, used by planetary defense forces, was inferior to that used by the Space Marines. However, it still offered ballistic protection, though it would shatter after only a few hits.

Besides body armor, Qin Mo also retrieved bayonets and more lasguns. These lasguns were a variant of the M35 rifle and could mount longer bayonets.

As Qin Mo focused on the battle and preparations, the sound of artillery fire echoed from afar.

"We're done for." The soldiers engaged in fierce combat looked up at the sky.

Everyone was huddled in the open-topped bunker. If the shells fell, they would all be wiped out.

"Focus on the fight!" Qin Mo stopped everything he was doing, looked up at the sky, and forced himself to remain concentrated.

The shells were already flying, and Qin Mo could sense all of them. He even knew there were twenty shells in total.

These shells were not a unified group. For Qin Mo, it was somewhat troublesome to unleash his final ability.

After a brief attempt, Qin Mo shifted his attention from the shells to the air.

The shells had already fallen, but instead of breaking through the air ahead, they exploded in mid-air as if they had hit the ground.

Qin Mo distorted the physical laws of a portion of the air, making it momentarily as hard as metal. This was his final ability, in addition to unleashing lightning and fire, and telekinesis.

Qin Mo, the soldiers, and the prisoners who were not killed by the explosions were about to face another test.

The rebel soldiers had suffered heavy losses in the exchange of fire. They intended to overwhelm the stubbornly resisting enemy with a single charge, so they attached bayonets to their lasguns.

"How much ammunition do we have left?" Qin Mo asked the others.

"Report, we're out."

Upon hearing this reply, Qin Mo remained silent and spread his hands.

The Chainsword lying on the ground floated up, its hilt landing in Qin Mo's right hand, while he held the scepter in his left.

The surviving soldiers silently picked up their lasguns and attached bayonets.

The prisoners, who had not learned to use bayonets, picked up tools like hammers and shovels.

Before the melee began, Qin Mo looked at the surging enemies, wanting to say something rousing to boost morale. However, he was not good at speeches, and after some thought, he couldn't come up with anything.

In this situation, overly inspiring words were not needed. Qin Mo knew that the people fighting alongside him only needed a rallying cry.

"It is my honor to fight alongside you." Qin Mo pressed the button on the hilt of the Chainsword, and its teeth began to spin with a roar. "For the Emperor!"

"For the Emperor!"

Everyone roared and charged out of the bunker.

A prisoner, holding a shovel high, sprinted at the very front, quickly disappearing into the rebel soldiers.

Qin Mo couldn't worry about the others. He sprinted with all his might, leaped, and landed in the center of the rebels.

He swung the Chainsword with his right hand, slashing at enemies, and raised the scepter with his left, slamming it forcefully onto the ground.

A wall of fire spreading in all directions cleared an area. This empty zone was quickly filled by the charging rebel soldiers, who then immediately ran into the following wave of lightning.

"Kill him with a bomb!"

"For the Savior!"

Hearing the shouts, Qin Mo turned and aimed the scepter in the direction of the shouting. A bolt of lightning shot out from the Aquila symbol, piercing all the enemies carrying bombs and those behind them.

This feeling of using otherworldly power to fight a hundred enemies made Qin Mo very excited. He didn't notice that the scepter wasn't amplifying his abilities; it was merely acting like an extension of his arm.

"Shell them!"

After turning back to kill an enemy, Qin Mo suddenly heard someone roar.

"But our compatriots..."

"Shell them!"

Qin Mo immediately became anxious. At this moment, he couldn't concentrate on modifying the physical laws, which meant the shelling would inevitably fall nearby.

But just as he was worrying, a flash of light appeared in the distance, followed by the roar of explosions.

It was unclear what the rebels had occupied that was being bombed, but it was incredibly important to them, as they all began to sprint towards the site of the explosions.

Even when Qin Mo's Chainsword struck an enemy's head, the enemy continued to move towards the explosion site before completely losing consciousness.

The battle ended when the rebels had vanished without a trace.

"Holy crap..." Qin Mo sat on the ground, panting heavily, and looked around for survivors.

The survivors were tiredly walking towards Qin Mo and sat down beside him.

When they entered the bunker, there were about two hundred survivors, but now there were fewer than twenty left.

"Grey." A young soldier stepped forward and gave Qin Mo the Aquila salute, "What do we do next?"

"You're asking me?" Qin Mo was a little surprised.

After all, he was just a prisoner, a psychic prisoner at that. There was no reason for these soldiers to listen to his orders.

Hearing Qin Mo's question, Grey and the other survivors also looked confused. It was only then that they realized that, logically, they shouldn't be taking orders from Qin Mo.

But logic was one thing, and what to do in reality was another.

"Let me think." Qin Mo didn't want to give up. After all, he not only wanted to survive but also to shed his prisoner status.

"That thing on your neck." Grey pointed to Qin Mo's neck. "Does it affect you? Do you need it removed?"

"What?" Qin Mo was taken aback. He reached up and touched his neck, only then remembering that he was still wearing the psionic suppression collar.
