Several days later.

In a factory on New Kato, Grot sat on the floor, watching the Logistics Machines that had been brought in.

One had been crushed while collecting metal, while another Logistics Machine was repairing it.

As a repairman, Grot simply watched until the damaged Logistics Machine had been repaired and flew out of the factory.

At that moment, Grot felt that the job of a Logistics Machine repairman did not actually leave much to do. It might have been nothing more than an excuse, an excuse to give people food.

Most of the repairmen in the factory were standing around watching.

"Personnel No. 488181. Personnel category: worker." The Logistics Machine that had just performed the repairs floated to Grot's side, its black spherical body facing another worker. "You have worked continuously for one month. You may proceed to the cathedral to relieve mental stress."

The worker immediately got up and left.

Then the Logistics Machine floated over to Grot and told him in the same cold voice, "Custodian No. 4. It has been detected that you have not relieved your stress since the previous war. Furthermore, the results of your last psychological evaluation indicate that you have recently suffered multiple psychological traumas. You are authorized to proceed to the cathedral to relieve mental stress."

"I'm not a Custodian anymore. Shouldn't you update your database?" Grot slapped the smooth shell of the Logistics Machine, then walked out of the factory.

It was currently working hours, but relieving mental stress did not conflict with working hours.

Grot headed toward the cathedral with people emerging from other factories. They had all been authorized to relieve mental stress, and they came from all sorts of occupations.
