"There are traps ahead meant to kill the exiles. We need to disarm them."

"Damn it! Those are our ancestors' weapons!"

Aray spoke two sentences with completely opposing attitudes. She looked around, then realized she had been blown up by something.

The sphere that had suddenly landed beside them was a tool used by beast merchants of the Ancient Eldar Empire.

It had originally been used to capture rare beasts and sell them to nobles fond of such creatures. Combined with another tool, it could trap a target forever in a repeating segment of time, making it immortal and controlling it.

In the hands of the Dark Eldar, this tool was used to exile all kinds of unsolvable enemies into abandoned places.

Those Flayed Ones had clearly once invaded Commorragh before being exiled. They had likely found the Ancient Eldar Empire merchants' tools in this Webway refuge and used them as weapons.

"What do we do?" Aray's guard asked their Archon as he looked down the seemingly endless road ahead.

"We have to go back, find those humans, and bring them out." Aray spoke as she started walking forward.

"Archon... do you like those monkeys? Otherwise, I really can't think of any reason you're helping them this much."

The guards were all bewildered, but they obediently followed Aray.

"I didn't bring them into the Webway to help them find someone! Who the hell knows where the Primarchs they're looking for are!"
