After giving his name, Creed was not questioned further. He was immediately fitted with something like a backpack.

Just as Creed was about to ask what the thing was for, a barrier enveloped him, and he was instantly teleported into the Hive City Underhive.

Not far away stood a fortress.

With a quick glance, Creed saw that there were at least a thousand people guarding the fortress. They had one thing in common with the people outside: every one of them wore Power Armor.

Looking at these slovenly soldiers in Power Armor, Creed thought, If my soldiers had this Power Armor, they could punch through the enemy's defensive positions in twenty minutes.

"What are you doing?" Creed strode forward and berated a group of soldiers playing cards. "Are you civilians or warriors? Do you still remember what your duties are? You damned swine."

The soldiers were initially frightened by Creed's rebuke, but then they realized that he was not wearing Power Armor and was not one of Qin Mo's people.

"Get lost. Cheap cannon fodder in cardboard armor has no right to speak to us." One soldier looked up and cursed before returning to his cards.

Creed dearly wanted to rush over and knock the foul-mouthed soldier down, but considering that he was not on Cadia disciplining White Shields recruits, he held himself back.

"Ursarkar E. Creed."

Hearing someone call his name, Creed turned toward the voice and saw a young man.

As the young man approached, the previously slovenly soldiers immediately rose and saluted.

"Qin Mo." Qin Mo stopped before Creed. "You needn't introduce yourself. My subordinates told me your name."

Out of respect, Creed immediately gave an Aquila salute. He did not actually need to; the Astra Militarum and the Planetary Defense Force were not on the same
