"I told you not to give them the clone Abaddon, or they'd abandon us!"
"I know, Father, but what else could I do? If we didn't give him to them, they wouldn't just abandon us—they'd kill us!"
Fabius Bile and Natalia, the New Humanity he had created, complained to each other.
The explosions from the surface did not cease for even a millisecond, and worse still, they were drawing ever closer.
Fabius soon realized that complaining was pointless. They had to find a way to leave Brumm.
Along with the things Vashtorr had helped him obtain.
With that thought, Fabius looked at the backpack behind a New Humanity warrior. It held a box, and inside that box was the work of his lifetime.
"Get on the aircraft, Father." Natalia pointed to the transport parked indoors. "Soon, the ground will extend outward on both sides, and we'll protect the transport at any cost until it takes off."
"Put this aboard first." Fabius removed the backpack and handed it to Natalia.
Natalia took the backpack, entered the transport's cabin, and placed it inside a new container. This container would ensure that even if the transport was destroyed, its contents would survive. They could not transfer into another clone body as Fabius himself could, but at least they could be preserved.
As long as they could be preserved, there was still hope.
"I don't care. Even if I die, I can transfer into a clone body. But you..." Fabius swept his gaze across those present. "Figure it out yourselves. Sorry, what happened on Brumm exceeded my expectations. I truly have no way to deal with the current situation."
Natalia nodded, picked up her weapon, and turned to head outside.
