"Why didn't you persuade Corvus to come back?!"

"Roboute, Lion, and I all had high hopes for you!"

In the ruins of an ammunition depot, Qin Mo sat in a corner against the wall.

Projected before the Lord of Tyran were holograms of the Emperor, Guilliman, and Lion.

More precisely, they were the Human Emperor possessing Vanessa, Guilliman, and Lion.

"You only have your Human will left now, right? If you'd merged with even an ordinary rational will, you wouldn't be questioning me this emotionally." Qin Mo helplessly changed the subject. "You came out of that medical chamber?"

"Yes." The Human Emperor nodded, then said excitedly, "Why did your silver tongue fail on Corvus? Like I just said, Guilliman, Lion, and I had high hopes for you!"

"Only he did." Guilliman lowered his head and quietly interjected. "I'm full of praise for you."

"I'm not full of praise, but only he did." Lion glanced at the Emperor, stroking his white beard as he muttered.

The Emperor looked left. Lion shrugged.

The Emperor looked right. Guilliman faced off to one side, pinching his chin in thought like a textbook statue of The Thinker.

The Emperor's gaze returned to Qin Mo. "Fine. Only I did."

"I understand how you feel, but I'm sorry." Qin Mo shook his head. "Also, I have to thank you. Thank you for holding down the rear while I came down to fight and got tied up by the Demon Army, and for raising that storm to help the ground forces and speed up the war."

"I didn't raise that storm." The Emperor shook his head. "I was blocked outside by it. Not that I myself was blocked outside, but my consciousness. You understand."

Qin Mo immediately stood up. "So you actually did nothing?"

"Mm." The Emperor nodded.
