"I think the Iron Men actually had it pretty good."
After hearing the Emperor's speculation about Guilliman accepting his essence, Qin Mo muttered that to himself.
At the same time, he thought that if things were as the Emperor said, then once Guilliman accepted his essence, would he not become a second Perturabo?
Perturabo, Primarch of the Iron Warriors, was personally Qin Mo's most hated Primarch. He did not even like having so much as a face-to-face encounter with Clone Perturabo when Clone Horus was not around.
Perturabo did not communicate and bottled everything up. Qin Mo hated that.
Secondly, he was far too cold and ruthless.
If the Iron Warriors Legion failed in an offensive, what awaited them was the horrifying punishment of decimation, a terror even in ancient Terra.
Everyone drew lots together, and one unlucky person out of every ten was randomly selected and killed.
Perturabo had done the same when Olympia rebelled, directly killing one-tenth of Olympia's population. He had even decimated the sons who refused to carry out planetary-scale decimation for their Primarch.
But then Qin Mo reconsidered. Guilliman, having accepted his essence, would definitely be even more ruthless than Perturabo.
He would not carry out decimation, because manpower would also be a usable resource in his eyes. He would impose punishments that did not harm the body or reduce individual combat capability, then let his sons be ground to death in one war after another by tactics designed around his most carefully considered strategic objectives.
The only good thing about such a Guilliman would be that he would no longer be ruled by emotion. He would never lose his head again.
"But that's still only your speculation," Qin Mo said. "Though in this universe, most things tend to turn out even worse than speculation..."
