Ning Rongrong's Admiration? Oscar's Tongue Cooked! Tang San: Your Excellency, Isn't This Going Too Far!
"How can you say that too? We are teammates from Shrek Academy!"
"So what if we're teammates? We've only known each other for a few days."
Ning Rongrong curled her lips and retorted righteously, "Besides, it was him and Oscar who had loose mouths and insisted on provoking him. That handsome guy was sitting there perfectly fine, so why should he have to take their abuse? Getting kicked by an iron plate and beaten up now is entirely their own fault!"
After saying this, Ning Rongrong turned her head to look at Huang Yan, her tone instantly turning sweet and coquettish as she shouted, "Hey, handsome! You hit him well! This young lady has long found this lecherous tiger an eyesore. Feel free to teach him a lesson; I will definitely support you!"
Hearing these "treasonous" words from Ning Rongrong, Tang San's expression turned completely gloomy.
"Rongrong! Zhuqing! You have disappointed me too much!"
Tang San suppressed his anger and rebuked loudly, "Since we are all students of Shrek Academy, we should stand together and face the outside world as one! How can you kick us while we're down at a time like this?"
"Don't try to pressure me with the academy's rules!"
Ning Rongrong glared back without showing any weakness, crossing her arms and snorting coldly, "Tang San, if you want to talk about so-called brotherly loyalty, that's your business! If you want to go die, go do it yourself, but don't drag us into it! This young lady has no intention of being buried with two idiots!"
Standing to the side, Oscar heard these heartless words from the girl he adored. His heart shattered as if he could hear a "crack," and his face was filled with disbelief: "Rongrong... you, you're actually speaking up for an outsider? Just now... I was only doing that to... in front of you..."
"Shut your mouth!"
Ning Rongrong interrupted Oscar with a look of disgust: "You call that doing it for me? That's called overestimating your own abilities! You didn't even check your own weight before causing trouble, and now that you've hit an iron plate, you know how to be afraid?"
"You... you all..."
Tang San was trembling with rage. He turned his head to look at Dai Mubai, who was nearly unconscious from the beating in mid-air, a flash of ruthlessness crossing his eyes. His hands had already silently reached toward the Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges at his waist.
"What? Are you done arguing over internal conflicts?"
Just then, Huang Yan's voice rang out with a hint of mockery. He waved his hand casually, and the giant golden flame hand instantly dissipated.
"Bang!"
Dai Mubai hit the ground heavily like a bag of broken trash, falling completely unconscious. His entire face was so swollen that his original features were unrecognizable.
"Boss Dai!"
Tang San and Xiao Wu cried out in alarm.
Huang Yan didn't even glance at Dai Mubai on the ground; his cold gaze shifted slowly, landing on Oscar, who was hiding in the back, as a dangerous curve tugged at the corner of his mouth: "I remember you were also shouting quite happily just a moment ago, weren't you? Why is it that now you can only hide behind a woman and tremble?"
Locked in place by Huang Yan's gaze.
Oscar felt a chill shoot from the soles of his feet straight to his crown, and he waved his hands frantically, his voice trembling with a sob:
"I... I didn't! Big Brother, Great Master! I was wrong, I'll never dare do it again!"
"Too late."
Huang Yan spat out the two words coldly, a cluster of blinding golden divine fire dancing once more at his fingertips.
"Stop!"
Tang San lunged forward, shielding Oscar behind him, his hands hidden beneath his sleeves as he glared coldly at Huang Yan:
"Your Excellency, show mercy where you can! Mubai has already been severely wounded by you. If you continue to press us, I, Tang San, will make you pay the price even if it costs me my life!"
"Cost your life?"
Huang Yan seemed to have heard the greatest joke in the world, his gaze sweeping over Tang San's hands with mockery:
"With those pieces of junk hidden in your sleeves that can't see the light of day? You can try it—see if your hidden weapons are faster, or if I am faster at burning you to ash."
Tang San's pupils contracted sharply, a stormy sea rising in his heart.
"You... how could you know?"
He had considered his technique extremely covert. Even the teachers at the academy could never have seen through his trump card at a single glance without having seen him use it before!
"Do you really think such low-level tricks could fool everyone?"
Huang Yan sneered, his eyes filled with disdain:
"Go ahead and try it."
Tang San gritted his teeth hard, cold sweat sliding down his forehead. He dared not gamble! Xiao Wu had been injured just by being pushed back by the shockwave from afar; that golden flame was absolutely terrifying. If they really fought, they would likely all perish here today!
"What exactly do you want, Your Excellency?"
Tang San took a deep breath, forcing down the rage and killing intent in his heart, his voice hoarse:
"Oscar is only an auxiliary-system spirit master. Although his words were improper just now, his crime does not warrant death!"
"Are you teaching me how to do things?"
Huang Yan's eyes turned icy. The golden divine fire dancing at his fingertips instantly transformed into a blinding streak of light, grazing past Tang San's cheek.
"Sss—!"
Tang San didn't even have time to react or dodge; he only felt an extreme, searing heat on his cheek. A few strands of singed hair drifted down.
"Ah—!"
Oscar, hiding behind Tang San, let out a shrill, pig-like scream. That golden streak of light had precisely darted into his mouth.
"My mouth... wuwu... so hot! Water! I need water!"
Oscar clutched his mouth, rolling wildly on the ground. His lips and tongue were blistering into charred, blackened patches at a speed visible to the naked eye.
A strange fragrance wafted from Oscar's mouth. It had been cooked! Oscar was crying so hard from the pain that he couldn't even form a complete sentence.
Tang San stood frozen in place, his back completely soaked through with cold sweat. It was too fast! His Purple Demon Eye, which he took such pride in, hadn't even fully tracked the trajectory of the opponent's strike!
Huang Yan looked down at Oscar, who was rolling on the ground, his tone indifferent:
"Since you can't control that mouth of yours, you might as well not have it.
This is a small lesson for you. If there is a next time, it will be your head that gets burned to ash."
Having said that, Huang Yan cast a cold glance at Tang San:
"Take these two pieces of trash and get out of my sight.
Don't come provoking me again, or else I wouldn't mind letting your so-called Shrek Academy disappear from this continent entirely."
Tang San clenched his fists in humiliation, his nails digging deep into his palms until blood began to seep out.
Yet he could only force himself to endure it, gritting his teeth as he said:
"Xiao Wu, give me a hand, help me take them away!"
Just as Tang San and Xiao Wu were clumsily trying to support the unconscious Dai Mubai and the rolling, wailing Oscar, Ning Rongrong stepped forward to stand right in front of Huang Yan without the slightest hesitation.
"Hey, handsome!"
With her hands behind her back, Ning Rongrong showed no fear at all; instead, her eyes shone as she looked at Huang Yan:
"What's your name?
I'm Ning Rongrong!
That move you just used was simply too cool. How about we be friends?"
Off to the side, Zhu Zhuqing did not step forward as proactively as Ning Rongrong.
However, she remained where she was, quietly observing Huang Yan with a gaze that held a hint of curiosity and an unusual glimmer.
