Background / History

Bei Bei was a Shrek Academy disciple and a three-ring Soul Elder who wielded the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon martial soul. During an early confrontation, he fought Ye Xinglan using his lightning-based martial soul abilities; her strength left him increasingly alarmed as the fight continued. 2

He and Tang Ya witnessed Zhuo Shi's one-move defeat of Yan Shaozhe, an event that shocked them and exposed the strength of the other academy's teachers. 12 Later, after Qian Duoduo was sent to confinement, Bei Bei and Tang Ya withdrew from the situation together; Bei Bei felt helpless after his attempts to prevent trouble proved ineffective. 26

Bei Bei accompanied Mu En and Elder Lin to the Floating Island Academy. He observed that a peaceful and sincere approach would be the best way to deal with its people, an opinion Mu En specifically sought and respected. 41 He was also struck by Bei Xin's familiar aura and directly questioned him about it after Bei Xin revealed himself as a level 99 Limit Douluo with the Radiant Sacred Dragon martial soul. 42

During the later Shrek City restaurant dispute, Bei Bei attempted to mediate between Tang Ya's side and Wang Dong'er's group. Though he initially did not recognize the girls in their Sky Shrek Academy uniforms, he accepted that Shrek City's restaurant and its supervision had failed, publicly apologized to the victims, and promised a full investigation. 201 202

As Shrek Academy's crisis worsened, Bei Bei personally explained its recent disasters to the awakened Mu En, including the conflicts surrounding Xuan Zi, Shen Ce, Zang Xin's assault on the Sea God Pavilion, and the emptied treasury. 248 Mu En later brought Bei Bei to the Sea God Pavilion's Golden Ancient Tree. There, Mu En used his remaining power to mutate Bei Bei's martial soul, passed on his knowledge and spirit bones, and named him the next Sea God Pavilion Master before his death. 274

Following Mu En's death, Bei Bei became a four-ring Soul Ancestor and accepted the burden of sitting among the Sea God Pavilion elders as his great-grandfather's chosen successor. 305 He opposed Xuan Zi's proposed Dragon Hunt Operation, warning that indiscriminate hunting of dragon-type soul beasts would bring severe consequences. 306 He subsequently denounced Xuan Zi for abandoning his responsibilities, abusing Mu En's legacy, and threatening Shrek Academy's future. 316 317

Appearance

When activating his original martial soul, Bei Bei's right arm enlarges and becomes covered in blue-purple scales; his hand transforms into a dragon claw wreathed in lightning. 2

Personality

Bei Bei is observant and measured in unfamiliar situations. At the Floating Island Academy, he advised Mu En to approach its inhabitants peacefully and sincerely rather than escalating tensions. 41 He also displays curiosity and willingness to speak up, directly asking Bei Xin about the sense of familiarity between them. 42

He is habitually inclined to de-escalate conflicts, attempting to restrain Qian Duoduo from making an impulsive challenge and becoming deeply distressed when his efforts instead contribute to further trouble. 25 26 Even when confronted harshly during the restaurant dispute, he does not deflect blame from Shrek Academy and instead takes responsibility before the affected diners. 202

After inheriting Mu En's legacy, Bei Bei becomes increasingly conscious of Shrek Academy's future. He feels out of place among the Sea God Pavilion elders but remains determined to carry out his responsibilities. 305 He is protective of the academy's legacy and willing to confront senior figures when he believes they endanger it. 307 308

Bei Bei is also wary of attempts to exploit Mu En's death and inheritance. He rejects Xuan Zi's pursuit of the Dragon Core and spirit bones, recognizing the danger in Xuan Zi's growing obsession with power. 275 Though normally gentle and steady, he becomes cold and uncompromising when confronting Xuan Zi's abandonment of Shrek Academy. 316 317

Inheritance of Mu En

Mu En brings Bei Bei to the Golden Ancient Tree, mutates his martial soul into the Blue Lightning Radiant Tyrant Dragon, entrusts him with spirit bones and knowledge, and appoints him as the next Sea God Pavilion Master. 274

Before this inheritance, Bei Bei acts as Mu En's principal source of information on the academy's deteriorating condition, recounting the injuries to its elders, the loss of its treasury, and the conflicts caused by Xuan Zi and other senior figures. 248 Mu En's final release of light then resonates with Bei Bei's evolved martial soul. 275

Sea God Pavilion leadership conflict

Following Mu En's death, Bei Bei faces pressure from Xuan Zi over Mu En's inheritance. 275 He monitors Xuan Zi's actions during the Sea God Pavilion meeting, then publicly holds him accountable for actions that harmed Shrek Academy and calls for his expulsion. 305 307

Bei Bei also rejects Xuan Zi's Dragon Hunt Operation, arguing that large-scale hunting of dragon-type soul beasts would invite disaster. 306 When Xuan Zi responds with level 98 Super Douluo pressure, Bei Bei withstands it. 308 He later uses borrowed Golden Ancient Tree power to cripple Xuan Zi's Spirit Bone-fused arm and force him to leave the academy. 317
