The Ice Empress rules territory in the Far North and belongs to its Three Great Heavenly Kings. Despite her formidable cultivation, she faces an approaching heavenly tribulation she does not expect to survive. She has kept this danger secret even from the Snow Empress and the other northern kings 16 17.

Capture and Covenant

Su Hui targets her as a replacement for his second spirit ring. Electrolux develops a method to preserve a sacrificing soul beast's intelligence, while the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm's slough provides a medium for trapping her 14 15.

When Su Hui enters her ice cavern, she attacks the intruder. Electrolux takes over his body, encloses her in a gray cocoon, suppresses her strength and Ultimate Ice, and connects her consciousness to Su Hui's Spiritual Sea 16.

She initially rejects Su Hui's proposal as an attempt to steal her spirit ring and soul bone. Electrolux's direct transmission of the soul-preservation ritual establishes that the method is possible. The prospect of divine ascension, together with Su Hui's martial-soul oath, persuades her to join his God-Making Project 17 18.

Sacrifice and Survival

After her restraints are removed, the Ice Empress sacrifices herself. Su Hui first clears his second spirit-ring slot, then endures the replacement of his spine and chest bones with her torso bone. She seals most of her origin so that his body can withstand the transfer 19 20.
