Inside the arena.

All participants in the gladiatorial contest entered through passages on either side of the vast circular battlefield.

On one side stood roughly a hundred Dark Eldar warriors wielding an assortment of weapons.

On the other was a sprawling mass of creatures from every race, carrying crudely made weapons. To prevent them from dying in the arena before they even figured out how to use their weapons, the arena had specifically assigned weapons according to their species.

For example, the Hrud had been given Hrud flintlock rifles. But the entropy fields around them were suppressed by collars around their necks. Judging by that arrangement, the arena clearly had not invited Hrud to fight for the first time.

Angron held two Chainaxes. His weapons, named Widowmaker, had been placed on the weapon rack when he emerged from the cave—two weapons made exclusively for a Primarch.

The Blood Drinkers had not been given the weapons they had used from the uprising war until now. Those assorted ancient weapons were probably still in the Dark Eldar's possession. They were armed only with chainswords, power swords, Bolters, and similar weapons.

The Primarch stood at the very front of the formation.

The Blood Drinkers habitually formed a protective ring around him.

Lelith and Gusa's Warlord stood within the line formed by the Blood Drinkers. In Angron's plan, they were the "blades."

The two sides stopped two hundred meters apart.

The Blood Axe Clan Warlord dismantled the crude weapon in his hands, spread the parts on the ground, and assembled them into a Battle Axe with jet ports along its blade.

"Can you use that ability on these two weapons of mine?" Lelith handed the Warlord two crude daggers.

She did not actually think it could, but the Greenskin before her was simply too
