"Get up and get to work!"
A shriek rang out from the Eternal City.
From the sky, Ku'gath, Nurgle's Greater Daemon, descended, his bloated body piled atop a platform carried by Nurglings.
A vast horde of Nurgle daemons poured from the Eternal City, gathering together in a loose, sluggish, indolent mass.
"Work! Work!"
Ku'gath waved his thick arms. Every sweep raised a green storm that swept through every corner of the Eternal City, pushing and driving the lazy Nurgle daemons onward.
The daemons who had finally gathered, only to lie back down on the ground, endured the torment rather than move.
Ku'gath's attitude toward Qin Xa's invasion differed from that of the other Nurgle daemons.
Other than Ku'gath, both Greater Daemons and ordinary daemons merely watched the spectacle. Even as Ku'gath shrieked and stirred up plague storms, many daemons remained sprawled on the ground without moving.
By the standards of mortal beings, how could these daemons dare neglect the defense of their master's domain? But Nurgle daemons simply could not be bothered to work.
Nurgle would not punish them for it.
Eternity meant changelessness. Even causality could not be set in motion. Nurgle's authority influenced his daemons, and even Nurgle himself would say nothing upon seeing this.
But Ku'gath was an exceptional workaholic.
"I said get to work!"
Ku'gath shifted his body over to the cauldron on the platform, scooped out a ladleful of venom, and flung it outward.
A virus that compelled living beings to work without rest spread through the Eternal City. Even unwilling daemons had no choice but to start moving. More daemons continued gathering, while those already assembled climbed off the ground and charged toward Qin Xa.
These ant-like daemons had no value even if Ku'gath could command them. Qin Xa could kill them all with
