Rin hurriedly stepped in front of the hospital bed and said anxiously, "No! Kakashi's injuries are serious. He can't just get out of bed right now. Whatever it is, wait until he's recovered."

At her words, Uchiha Yashiro's expression darkened at once. He glared at Rin, his scarlet Three-Tomoe Sharingan spinning rapidly as faint chakra rippled around him. He was clearly planning to cast a genjutsu on her.

Aragaki Yasushi was furious.

Seriously, were the Uchiha really that overbearing?

They'd cast genjutsu on their own village comrades without a second thought. Didn't they have any shame?

Asuma was furious too. He rolled up his sleeves and started cursing. "You bastard..."

Before Asuma could rush forward, Aragaki Yasushi had already moved first. In a flash, he stepped in front of Rin and met Uchiha Yashiro's gaze.

The next moment, his vision blurred, and the world around him turned blood-red.

He'd fallen under a genjutsu!

Aragaki Yasushi was startled.

So genjutsu really was something they cast whenever they felt like it? They didn't care about anyone's feelings at all?

It was just a genjutsu. How dare it act so cocky in front of him?

Before the genjutsu could take hold, Aragaki Yasushi activated the Horse Talisman.

The next instant, the bloody scene vanished, and everything returned to normal.

Aragaki Yasushi raised his eyes and met Uchiha Yashiro's gaze, his tone edged with mockery. "Whatever you have to say, you can say it here. There's no need to be so secretive."

"And casting genjutsu on your own village comrades—is that the skill the Uchiha Clan is so proud of?"

At that, Uchiha Inabi, standing behind Yashiro, flew into a rage. He rolled up his sleeves and took a menacing step forward, looking ready to beat Aragaki Yasushi to a pulp on the spot.

"You brat! How dare you talk to Lord Yashiro like that? You're asking for death!"

But before he could take another step, the boy beside him grabbed him and held him back.

Aragaki Yasushi looked up at the boy and immediately understood.

Oh, wasn't this Uchiha Shisui?

He'd known Shisui was on the Mist Battlefield, but this was the first time he'd seen the legendary Body Flicker Shisui in person since arriving.

Uchiha Shisui gave Aragaki Yasushi a friendly smile and was just about to speak up to smooth things over and ease the tension.

Unexpectedly, Uchiha Yashiro spoke first, his tone arrogant. "You're quite impressive. You managed to break my genjutsu in an instant. Tell me your name."

Aragaki Yasushi was speechless.

Were all the Uchiha show-offs?

Showing off right in front of him—how annoying!

He kept his expression neutral and replied in an even tone, laced with a hint of mockery. "I'm just an ordinary Chunin from the village. My name isn't worth telling a distinguished Uchiha jonin."

"As for breaking your genjutsu, that's only because it was terribly weak."

Uchiha Yashiro paused, clearly not expecting Aragaki Yasushi to dare talk back to him like that.

Behind him, Uchiha Inabi was even more incensed. He jumped up and shouted, "You brat, what nonsense are you spouting? How dare you insult the Uchiha Clan's genjutsu!"

Aragaki Yasushi scoffed, his tone even more biting. "Your genjutsu is nowhere near as good as the Kurama Clan's."

Hearing Aragaki Yasushi bring up Konoha's other renowned genjutsu clan, the Kurama Clan, and dismiss the Uchiha's genjutsu as worthless, Uchiha Inabi finally lost it. He wrenched himself free of Shisui's grip and tried to charge forward, determined to teach Aragaki Yasushi a lesson.

Fortunately, Uchiha Yashiro managed to keep his cool. He raised a hand to stop Inabi and said coldly, "Enough! Stop making a fool of yourself here!"

Then he turned to Shisui. "Shisui, drag him outside."

Shisui looked apologetic as he hurriedly grabbed the still-struggling Inabi and half-dragged, half-persuaded him out of the tent.

But when Shisui looked at Aragaki Yasushi, his eyes were filled with keen interest.

He's so young, yet he easily broke Lord Yashiro's genjutsu.

I wonder if my genjutsu could trap him.

Shisui was quite confident in his genjutsu. He'd even combined it with the Body Flicker Technique, earning himself the title Body Flicker Shisui.

But he was still young, and he figured his skill with genjutsu might not yet match that of a veteran jonin like Yashiro.

Yet Aragaki Yasushi had broken Lord Yashiro's genjutsu with ease.

That was enough to make Shisui see him in a new light.

Only after Shisui and Inabi had disappeared through the tent entrance did Uchiha Yashiro slowly turn around and fix his gaze on Kakashi in the hospital bed.

"Whatever happens, the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan must never fall into the hands of outsiders."

"Even if I have to take this all the way to the Third, I'll demand an explanation!"

Aragaki Yasushi scoffed. "Then let Lord Hokage make the decision."

"Besides, Kakashi is seriously injured. Surely the Uchiha Clan won't go so far as to force a patient to dig out a gift from a dead comrade?"

Uchiha Yashiro was at a loss for words. His expression grew even uglier, and he gave a cold snort. "He's not going anywhere until he recovers. I'll have people keep an eye on him!"

With that, he turned and stormed out of the tent.

Only when Uchiha Yashiro's footsteps had faded away did Rin, Yuhi Kurenai, and Asuma finally let out a collective breath.

He was a veteran jonin of the Uchiha Clan.

It was hard not to feel immense pressure in front of him.

They hadn't expected Aragaki Yasushi to stand his ground so calmly, let alone openly talk back to Uchiha Yashiro.

Rin quickly walked up to Aragaki Yasushi, her face full of gratitude. "Thank you, Yasushi. If you hadn't been there just now, we wouldn't have known what to do."

Aragaki Yasushi waved a hand and smiled. "It's nothing. We're comrades. It was the least I could do."

Yuhi Kurenai looked at Aragaki Yasushi with shining eyes, full of admiration, as if he were glowing.

Asuma gave Aragaki Yasushi a thumbs-up too.

By contrast, Kakashi remained as lifeless as before, showing no reaction at all. It was as though the argument had nothing to do with him. He remained lost in his own world.

They stayed in the Wounded Soldiers Camp for a while longer, but Kakashi still showed no response, so they decided to leave and let him rest.

After leaving the tent, Aragaki Yasushi stopped and spoke to Rin seriously. "Kakashi has had a Sharingan transplanted. Even if Obito gave it to him willingly, the Uchiha Clan won't let this go."

"Tell Minato-sensei about this as soon as possible. He's the only one who can keep things under control."

Rin nodded firmly, her expression grave. "I understand."

With nothing else to do, Aragaki Yasushi said goodbye to Rin. As he watched her leave, he began thinking to himself.

Minato has the Flying Thunder God Technique. He'll probably get here today.

With Minato's reputation and strength, Kakashi will probably get to keep the Sharingan, just like in the original story.

Still, there'll be plenty of arguing with the Uchiha Clan along the way.

But that argument has nothing to do with me.

With that, Aragaki Yasushi prepared to leave.

Just then, four figures headed toward the Wounded Soldiers Camp and ran straight into Aragaki Yasushi and the others.

It was Might Duy, along with Might Guy, Shiranui Genma, and Ebisu.

Aragaki Yasushi hurried over and greeted them. "Mr. Duy, are you here to see Kakashi?"
