The Kaguya Clan

Night fell, and Kirigakure was shrouded in thick fog. Even the moonlight couldn't penetrate it, making this the perfect time to sneak in.

Aragaki Yasushi and Uchiha Inabi silently infiltrated the area near the Kaguya Clan's grounds.

The Kaguya Clan were a difficult bunch to deal with.

They were nothing but a group of lunatics who lived for battle.

Aragaki Yasushi remembered that, in the original story, the Hyuga Clan and the Kaguya Clan seemed to be related.

Hyuga Hiashi had even brought Hyuga Hanabi to visit the Kaguya Clan.

But no matter how he looked at it, there was a bug in that plot.

By rights, the Kaguya Clan should have been wiped out long ago. Had Hyuga Hiashi gone to pay his respects at their graves?

That was why the supposed family connection puzzled Aragaki Yasushi.

Besides, when Aragaki Yasushi had mentioned the Kaguya Clan just now, Hyuga Homura hadn't reacted at all.

That was precisely why Aragaki Yasushi hadn't brought Hyuga Homura along when assigning the mission.

It was better to have him use his Byakugan to gather intelligence.

At that moment, Aragaki Yasushi and Uchiha Inabi carefully slipped into the Kaguya Clan's grounds, avoiding the patrolling clansmen as they made their way to the rear of a large estate.

Judging by the impressive estate, it was most likely the clan leader's residence.

But they had barely stopped and hadn't yet had a chance to look around when a voice barked at them.

"Who's there? How dare you trespass on the Kaguya Clan's grounds!"

A burly middle-aged man fixed them with a sharp gaze.

As soon as he finished speaking, the sound of bones growing came from his body. White bones burst through his skin and extended out, instantly forming a sharp bone spear aimed at Aragaki Yasushi and Uchiha Inabi.

Aragaki Yasushi quickly raised a hand to show he meant no harm and calmly said, "Don't get worked up. We're Konoha Ninja. You should know why we're here."

The middle-aged man furrowed his brow, still wary, but slowly drew the bones back into his skin, his movements brisk and decisive.

The wounds left by the bones piercing through his skin healed before their eyes. In the blink of an eye, they were as good as new, without even a scar.

Aragaki Yasushi raised an eyebrow, silently marveling.

That was an incredible healing ability.

As expected of a descendant of the Otsutsuki Clan.

It seemed the Sage Body inherited by the Kaguya Clan was quite formidable too.

The middle-aged man stared at them for a moment before speaking, his tone still stern. "I'm Kaguya Taro, the clan leader of the Kaguya Clan."

"You Konoha Ninja are here to help us overthrow that usurper's rule?"

Aragaki Yasushi nodded casually. "That's the idea. The village sent us to make contact with you first. We can work out the specifics of our cooperation in more detail later."

Kaguya Taro let out a scoff, his tone full of disdain. "You're so wishy-washy, just like that Karatachi Yagura fellow."

"What's there to discuss about a rebellion?"

"It's simple: kill or be killed. Just charge in and fight!"

He muttered a few more curses, then his gaze suddenly landed on Uchiha Inabi beside Aragaki Yasushi. His eyes narrowed.

"Those eyes... Are you from the Uchiha Clan?"

Uchiha Inabi had already activated his Three-Tomoe Sharingan. The black tomoe revolved within his crimson eyes.

At Kaguya Taro's question, he lifted his chin and answered arrogantly, "That's right."

Kaguya Taro let out a scoff. "Tsk, tsk. Who would've thought? A ninja from the mighty Uchiha Clan is someone else's underling. I guess you're not that strong after all."

Uchiha Inabi's gaze sharpened, and the chakra around him grew restless.

Aragaki Yasushi quickly raised a hand to stop him.

They were here to discuss cooperation, not fight. Couldn't he keep his cool?

Uchiha Inabi gritted his teeth and forcibly suppressed his anger, but his gaze remained hostile as he looked at Kaguya Taro.

Kaguya Taro ignored Inabi and turned to Aragaki Yasushi, raising an eyebrow. "Kid, what's your name?"

"If you can make an Uchiha behave himself and serve as your underling, you can't be a nobody."

Aragaki Yasushi answered calmly, "My name's Aragaki Yasushi. I'm not famous or anything. I'm just an ordinary ninja."

"Aragaki Yasushi?" Kaguya Taro furrowed his brow and scratched his head, racking his brain for a long while.

He searched through every known Konoha bloodline family he could think of, but couldn't remember any clan called Aragaki. He looked utterly confused.

The other Kaguya Clan ninja standing nearby suddenly brightened, as if he'd thought of something. He leaned close to Kaguya Taro's ear and whispered a few words.

After listening, Kaguya Taro's confusion instantly turned to surprise. "Oh, so it's you!"

"You're the Konoha ninja who wiped out the Seven Ninja Swordsmen?"

"You've got some skill. You're quite the character."

As soon as he finished speaking, he rubbed his hands together, a competitive glint lighting his eyes. "Since you're that strong, let's have a go."

Aragaki Yasushi looked helpless. "I'm here to discuss cooperation, not fight."

But before he could finish, Kaguya Taro lost patience. A sharp bone spear shot from his palm in an instant, heading straight for Aragaki Yasushi's head.

It moved so fast that if he didn't dodge, the bone spear would pierce right through his head, killing him on the spot.

Aragaki Yasushi frowned.

This guy had no sense of fair play at all.

He'd attacked without warning. As expected, he was a battle maniac!

With no time to think, Aragaki Yasushi's body instantly turned into a Paper Person, and six arms sprouted from his back, transforming him into an eight-armed figure.

One paper arm reached out lightly and caught the incoming bone spear with pinpoint accuracy.

Then Aragaki Yasushi applied a little pressure.

Crack!

The sharp bone spear broke in two in his grasp.

Then Aragaki Yasushi slowly opened his palm toward Kaguya Taro, and a little white bone powder drifted down from it.

"I told you, I'm not here to fight."

Kaguya Taro's pupils contracted sharply.

He had caught the bone spear he'd fired at high speed with his bare hands, then crushed it into bone powder with ease?

How could a kid who looked so young possess such terrifying strength?

But Kaguya Taro showed not the slightest fear. Instead, he felt his blood boiling, and his breathing grew rapid.

Excitement! He was so excited!

As expected of the ninja who had wiped out the Seven Ninja Swordsmen.

Now that was someone worthy of being my opponent!

Shikotsumyaku: Ten-Finger Drilling Bullets!

Kaguya Taro raised both hands. The bones in all ten fingers cracked and transformed into sharp bone bullets, which shot toward Aragaki Yasushi in a dense volley.

After firing, he used the bone bullets as cover, flashed forward, and rushed toward Aragaki Yasushi, intending to fight him at close range.

Aragaki Yasushi frowned.

Was this guy out of his mind?

He'd already said he didn't want to fight, but Kaguya Taro kept coming. He wouldn't listen to reason at all!
