Inside the Mizukage Building, the scene was already in complete shambles.
The Third Mizukage stood in the center of the hall, his long black hair somewhat disheveled.
His usually narrowed eyes were now wide open, his face flushed with rage, and the veins on his forehead bulged, making him look as ferocious as if he were about to devour someone.
"Karatachi Yagura, to think that even you have betrayed me!"
"You aren't even a Kekkei Genkai ninja, so why would you betray me?"
The Third Mizukage roared while his hands moved in a blur, weaving hand seals.
A split second later, several streams of water, sharp as bullets, whistled through the air as they shot straight toward Karatachi Yagura. They were moving at an absurd speed, the air itself hissing as it was pierced.
Karatachi Yagura had been prepared; he dodged nimbly to the side.
Even with the water streams moving at such an astonishing speed, Karatachi Yagura managed to evade them without injury, having made thorough preparations beforehand.
The water streams slammed into the wall behind him, instantly punching through the thick masonry and leaving behind a cluster of dense holes as gravel rained down.
Karatachi Yagura looked at the Third Mizukage with icy eyes, his tone firm: "The Bloody Mist Policy you implemented has long since lost the hearts of the people. You slaughter the innocent and suppress Kekkei Genkai ninjas; the entire village is suffering under your tyranny. Today is your end!"
The Third Mizukage merely sneered.
His gaze swept over Terumi Mei, Ao, and the others beside Karatachi Yagura, a mocking curve forming on his lips: "Is this group of Kekkei Genkai ninjas what gives you your confidence?"
"If that is the case, then the only thing waiting for you today is a dead end!"
"With just a bunch of trash like you, I alone can slaughter every single one of you, leaving none alive!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the Third Mizukage's hand seals accelerated again, his chakra surging wildly as the water vapor around him grew increasingly dense.
Water Style: Water Mirror Jutsu!
The next second, a massive water mirror appeared out of thin air before him, its surface smooth and reflecting a cold, watery light.
Immediately following, the clones of Karatachi Yagura, Terumi Mei, Ao, and the others slowly emerged from the mirror.
Whether it was their appearance, clothing, or the chakra fluctuations on their bodies, they were identical to the originals.
"Kill!"
At the Third Mizukage's command, the clones brandished their weapons and charged fiercely toward their respective originals, unleashing various ninjutsu with ease, in no way inferior to the originals.
Karatachi Yagura's expression remained unchanged; he had long anticipated that the Third Mizukage would pull this trick.
He also began weaving hand seals rapidly.
Water Style: Water Mirror Jutsu!
Following that, a slightly smaller water mirror emerged in front of him.
A split second later, a clone identical to the Third Mizukage stepped out from the mirror and charged toward the real Third Mizukage.
A look of surprise appeared in the Third Mizukage's eyes, his brows furrowing slightly in unexpected shock:
"Oh? You have actually mastered this ninjutsu as well? I have underestimated your talent."
But soon, he returned to his arrogant demeanor and sneered: "However, your mastery of this technique is not yet refined enough, is it?"
"You can only copy me alone at most."
"Whereas I can copy every single one of you!"
"Give up, Karatachi Yagura. If you surrender now and slaughter all these Kekkei Genkai ninjas who helped you rebel, you will be the Fourth Mizukage once I retire."
"The entire Kirigakure will be yours!"
The Third Mizukage attempted to use psychological warfare to break Karatachi Yagura's will, but Karatachi Yagura only gave a cold laugh. His eyes showed no sign of wavering, and he didn't even bother to respond. Instead, he turned and charged toward his own clone, his hook staff whistling through the air with ferocious force.
Seeing that Karatachi Yagura remained unmoved, the Third Mizukage flew into a rage: "Stubborn fool! Since you are seeking death, I shall grant your wish!"
A chaotic melee erupted instantly!
The hall was filled with the roaring sounds of clashing ninjutsu; water vapor permeated the air, and mist shrouded the room, blurring everyone's vision.
The originals and their clones were locked in a fierce struggle, indistinguishable from one another; without a close look, it was impossible to tell who was the original and who was the clone.
What made things even more troublesome for Karatachi Yagura was that the Third Mizukage had not only copied them but had also summoned a large number of Mist Anbu.
These Anbu ninjas were all formidable, brandishing kunai and ninja swords as they launched a frantic siege against them.
For a moment, Karatachi Yagura and his group fell into a clear disadvantage, attacked from both front and back, and were forced into a steady retreat.
On Terumi Mei's side, the situation was far from optimistic.
She was locked in a direct confrontation with her own clone. The clone, just like her, possessed both Lava Style and Boil Style, using the exact same techniques—and was perhaps even more ferocious than she was.
Lava Style: Acidic Mud Jutsu!
Terumi Mei spat out a stream of viscous, corrosive liquid, shooting it toward her clone.
But her clone was not to be outdone, likewise unleashing Lava Style: Acidic Mud Jutsu, as the viscous, corrosive liquid shot back toward Terumi Mei.
The two streams of liquid collided in mid-air and exploded instantly, spraying corrosive droplets everywhere, which ate deep pits into the floor.
Terumi Mei hurriedly dodged backward, but her shoulder was still splashed by a small amount. A burning pain flared instantly, and she couldn't help but knit her brows tightly, her face turning a shade paler.
Boil Style: Solid Fog Jutsu!
The clone pressed its advantage, spewing a highly corrosive mist from its mouth.
Terumi Mei was forced to retreat again and again.
She furrowed her brows tightly, her heart filled with anxiety.
Why hadn't the reinforcements from Konoha arrived yet?
If this continued, they would be worn down and killed here sooner or later.
Just at this critical moment, several kunai suddenly shot in from outside the Mizukage Building.
The next second, a yellow figure appeared in the center of the hall.
The man wore a bright, sunny smile; who else could it be but Minato Namikaze?
The Third Mizukage's brows knit together sharply, his gaze turning icy in an instant, his tone filled with shock and fury: "The Yellow Flash of Konoha?!"
"Karatachi Yagura, you actually colluded with an outside enemy!"
He never imagined that Karatachi Yagura would collude with Konoha, even going so far as to invite the Yellow Flash.
Minato Namikaze's strength was something that even the major ninja villages of the world feared.
His Flying Thunder God was even faster than anyone could match.
The Third Mizukage dared not underestimate him and attempted to cast the Water Mirror Jutsu again to replicate Minato Namikaze, letting the clone deal with the original.
But Minato Namikaze merely smiled at him, casually tossing several kunai engraved with Flying Thunder God seals, and his figure vanished in an instant.
The water mirror had just emerged, but before it could replicate Minato Namikaze's figure, he was already gone, and the replication naturally failed.
In an instant, the Third Mizukage's expression turned even uglier.
"Damn it!"
The Third Mizukage roared, brandishing the ninja blade in his hand to deflect the kunai Minato Namikaze had thrown.
The kunai were knocked aside, embedding themselves into the wall with a buzzing sound.
But before he could even catch his breath, Minato Namikaze's figure suddenly appeared near one of the kunai, his right hand gathering a high-speed rotating sphere of chakra, which he smashed fiercely toward the Third Mizukage's back.
Rasengan!
The Third Mizukage reacted with extreme speed; sensing the attack from behind, he spun around violently, slamming his ninja blade behind him to block.
The Rasengan slammed into the blade, the powerful impact forcing the Third Mizukage to retreat repeatedly, the floor beneath his feet cracking into fissures as a trace of blood seeped from the corner of his mouth.
The Third Mizukage gritted his teeth, just about to counterattack, but the next moment, a figure appeared silently behind him, moving even faster than Minato Namikaze—so fast he had no time to react.
It was Aragaki Yasushi!
Aragaki Yasushi had already transformed into his Paper Person state, his right arm morphing into a sharp paper blade. Taking advantage of the gap while the Third Mizukage was pinned down by Minato Namikaze, he thrust it into his back without hesitation, aiming straight for the heart.
The paper blade instantly pierced through the Third Mizukage's heart.
