Yuhi Kurenai's face was full of worry, her brows tightly knitted.
Asuma wore a grave expression as well.
"Yasushi, have you heard the news?"
Yuhi Kurenai hurried over to Aragaki Yasushi, her voice urgent and her eyes filled with worry.
"Kakashi and the others are in trouble. They were ambushed by the Mist Shinobi, and Rin was taken hostage."
Aragaki Yasushi put on a grave expression. "Jonin Yashiro just asked me to see him. I'm guessing it's about this."
At that, Yuhi Kurenai quickly said, "Yasushi, you can use Paper Style and fly. Jonin Yashiro must have summoned you so you can hurry over and rescue them. Be careful."
Aragaki Yasushi flashed a confident smile. "Don't worry, Kurenai. What could happen to me?"
"I'm the man who assassinated the Third Mizukage. A few rogue Mist Shinobi are nothing—I could take them on without breaking a sweat."
With that, Aragaki Yasushi turned and headed straight for Uchiha Yashiro's tent.
Inside, Uchiha Yashiro looked grave. He held a scroll of intelligence—the report Hyuga Takuya had sent back, the same one Aragaki Yasushi had read earlier.
When he saw Aragaki Yasushi enter, he skipped the pleasantries, set down the report, and immediately gave his orders. "Aragaki, you're just in time. It's urgent. Kakashi and the others are in trouble."
"Your Paper Style lets you fly. I want you to hurry and rescue Kakashi, Nohara Rin, and Hyuga Takuya."
As he spoke, Uchiha Yashiro picked up the intelligence scroll from the table and handed it to Aragaki Yasushi. "This is the report Hyuga Takuya sent back. It gives the approximate location where they were attacked. Take it and leave at once. Don't waste time."
Aragaki Yasushi took the scroll, pretended to study it carefully, then put it away and said solemnly, "Understood, Jonin Yashiro.
