After a teacher carried Xiong Batian away to the school infirmary, the students around them were all utterly stunned.
"No way. Is that for real? Xiong Batian actually lost to that kid? Two punches and he was done for. They carried him out like a dead dog. Is that really someone at the Martial Apprentice Third Heaven?"
"Didn't you hear the teacher? That kid has already advanced to the Martial Apprentice Fourth Heaven."
"Bullshit. Xiong Batian is a powerhouse at the Martial Apprentice Fifth Heaven. However you look at it, he's the stronger one."
"That's true under normal circumstances, but that kid's martial arts are terrifying. Every punch and kick packs immense power, like a fierce tiger charging down a mountain. Even standing below the ring, I felt like I was about to be swallowed whole."
"I heard the teacher say he'd already trained his martial arts to perfection. With that kind of power, challenging people above his level is nothing unusual. That's why Xiong Batian was defeated so easily."
"Training martial arts to perfection is incredibly difficult. I've never heard of any student at this school being that good. How did this guy suddenly become so powerful?"
"Who knows? Maybe he was always low-key, pretending to be weak while hiding his real strength."
The students buzzed with discussion, all utterly shocked. They'd thought Xia Ping was sure to lose, but who could have guessed Xiong Batian would be defeated so easily and carried out like a dead dog?
It wasn't just the ordinary students who couldn't believe it. Even the students of Class 16 of Grade 12, Xia Ping's own classmates, couldn't believe something like this had happened.
As far as they knew, he was just an ordinary, practically invisible student in class. How had he suddenly become so fierce? He was practically a monster.
"This—this!"
Jiang Yaru was stunned. She'd already prepared herself for Xia Ping to be taken to the hospital. Who could have imagined he'd win, and that Xiong Batian would be the one taken there instead?
When had this guy broken through to the Martial Apprentice Fourth Heaven? And he'd even trained the Five Forms Fist to perfection. She realized she didn't understand the Xia Ping of today at all.
"How could this happen?" Liang Xiaoxue was even more shocked. Xia Ping's performance on the ring had truly terrified her. He'd been nothing but an ordinary guy with no ability whatsoever. How had he become so powerful?
Even if she'd stood on the ring herself, she probably wouldn't have been a match for Xiong Batian. Could this guy have already surpassed her? Her face grew rather grim. Someone she'd looked down on had suddenly surpassed her, leaving her completely outclassed. It was a miserable feeling, like someone had slapped her hard across the face.
"We're screwed! We're completely finished!"
When they saw Xiong Batian kicked off the ring like a piece of trash, Gao Wan and Yang Wei's faces turned ashen. They wished they could slap themselves several times. Why had they made such a bet with that bastard? They'd been asking for trouble.
Now Xia Ping had beaten Xiong Batian, which meant their contract was binding. The two of them would have to run naked around the school three times. They could easily imagine becoming the talk of the school tomorrow, mocked and pointed at by everyone.
Worse, the police might spot them, arrest them as perverts, and lock them up for a couple of weeks.
"Yang Wei, Gao Wan!"
Standing on the ring and looking down at the two of them, Xia Ping drawled lazily, "I won the match. So, according to our agreement, go run naked."
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!!!
The students on the ring immediately turned their attention to Yang Wei and Gao Wan, all looking curious.
"Xia Ping, w-we're classmates, after all. We were only joking when we made that agreement. Can't we call it off? It'd look bad if we really did that," Gao Wan stammered.
Xia Ping replied coolly, "You may have been joking, but I wasn't. If you refuse to honor the agreement, I'll consider you in breach of contract."
Yang Wei and Gao Wan's expressions changed. If Xia Ping took them to court for breach of contract, their government credit scores would plummet. Then it would be very difficult to get into a good university.
After all, the better universities were selective. They never admitted students with bad credit. This bastard was trying to ruin their futures!
"Xia Ping, don't push us too far!" Yang Wei cried in anguish.
Xia Ping sneered. "So what if I do? Come bite me if you've got the guts."
If he'd lost the match, would these two have let him off if he'd begged? He didn't even need to think about it. Of course they wouldn't have.
"You!"
Yang Wei and Gao Wan were furious, but there was nothing they could do.
"Xia Ping, you're going too far. We're all classmates. You should know when to let someone off, understand?" One of the students couldn't stand it anymore and stepped forward to play peacemaker.
"Exactly. It's just a little thing. Why hold a grudge?"
"We see each other every day. Why start a fight over this?"
"That's right. Just let them off and pretend nothing happened."
A group of students chimed in.
Yang Wei and Gao Wan were both feeling rather pleased. This guy had made himself everyone's enemy. Now he'd have no choice but to back down.
"Shut up!"
Xia Ping swept his gaze over them. "If you want to stand up for them, you'd better think about whether you're up to it. If you don't like it, get on the Flying Dragon Platform. Beat me, and I'll listen to you. If you don't have the ability, then get lost!"
He hated people like this most of all. They had nothing to do with him and didn't even know the whole story, yet they still urged others to be magnanimous, to be broad-minded and not petty. People like that were absolutely not worth befriending, because sooner or later, they'd get struck by lightning!
"This—this!"
The group of students were furious and deeply frustrated. Even Xiong Batian couldn't beat this beast. If they went up against him, they'd probably just get beaten too.
They could run their mouths all they wanted, but when it came to actually fighting, they were at a loss.
"Bastard! That guy's so arrogant."
"He thinks he's invincible just because he beat Xiong Batian."
"Give a petty man a little success and he gets carried away. Someone will teach him a lesson sooner or later."
The students muttered curses under their breath, furious enough to breathe fire.
At their curses, Xia Ping wasn't angry at all. In fact, he was delighted, because he heard the system send a string of messages: "Hate Points +1, Hate Points +1..."
Clearly, what he'd just said had earned him quite a few Hate Points. That was a huge benefit.
But he still didn't seem to have enough Hate Points. He'd have to add a little more fuel to the fire. Xia Ping rubbed his chin and stared at Yang Wei and Gao Wan, calling out, "What are you two still waiting for? Go fulfill the agreement right now. I'm looking forward to the show, so don't even think about backing out. And you bunch of good-for-nothings, all you do is talk tough. You haven't got an ounce of ability. If you've got the guts, go run naked with them! If you don't, quit whining and go cool your heels somewhere!"
He directed a verbal broadside at the crowd, his face full of disdain.
Bastard!
Yang Wei and Gao Wan were both so furious they wanted to bite him to death, but they were bound by the contract. There was nothing they could do unless they truly didn't care about their futures.
"Damn Xia Ping. He's way too arrogant."
"Why is he so infuriating? He's just a petty man gloating over his success."
"Isn't there anyone who can punish this bully? He's so hateful."
"What a disgrace to the school! I swear, even that campus bully Xiong Batian seems a hundred times better than this bastard."
The students were fuming, glaring angrily at Xia Ping.
"Mm, that worked much better. I'll have to do this more often." Xia Ping was pleased with himself. He could hear his Hate Points rising rapidly, and he completely ignored the murderous glares all around him.
