After traveling for dozens of days, the caravan finally arrived on the afternoon of the thirteenth day at Looking North Town, the supply town on the Outer Perimeter of the Northern Frontier Ancient Battlefield.
Yet Looking North Town was even more dilapidated than Lin Yi had imagined.
Earthen walls and low houses filled the town, with the tallest buildings only three stories high.
There were few pedestrians on the streets, most of them Rogue Soul Masters wrapped in thick fur coats.
Lin Yi jumped down from the caravan's carriage and stretched his legs, which had gone stiff from sitting too long.
The old escort poked his head out from behind him and continued to nag, "Young man, if you really want to enter the Ancient Battlefield, remember this: don't be greedy, and don't go too deep. Take a look around the Outer Perimeter, then come back out. Your life is worth more than any Dragon Stone."
"Understood. Thank you, Senior, for looking after me along the way." Lin Yi cupped his hands to him with a polite smile.
