A Word Before Going Premium

Well, this book is going live at midnight today, and I am very grateful for the support from all my readers up to this point.

Strictly speaking, this is not the first Douluo fanfic I have written, but it is certainly the most formal one. I came into contact with the Douluo series very early on, and I have always held a strong filter for this world. Even though it now appears to have many flaws and illogical aspects, I am still willing to continue adding bricks and mortar to it.

Let's talk about the book itself. It is essentially a "behind-the-scenes" style story. I believe it is not hard for readers to see that while the protagonist on the surface is the reborn Huo Yuhao, the true protagonist is actually the mysterious Pope from ten thousand years ago, Chen Mo.

This Pope is a transmigrator, and like most transmigrators, he possesses exceptional talent and has achieved great things in this world.

Whenever I finish reading a Douluo fanfic, I often wonder: since the protagonist has accomplished such a massive feat, how will the future of this world develop? In the next era, will this world undergo any changes because of the protagonist?

Can there really be irreconcilable hatred between a transmigrator and the original characters? Why can't everyone just be good friends?

Thus, Douluo: This Peerless Tang Sect Has Problems! was born.

Chen Mo arrived in the world of the first Douluo and, relying on his own talent and strength, brought order to the Douluo world. He turned characters who would have been enemies in the original plot into his partners. He led the Douluo Continent toward a new era and allowed the "Martial Soul Hall" to survive into the Peerless Tang Sect era as a social welfare institution.

Consequently, you can see that Dai Huabin, who relied on his status to act recklessly in the White Tiger Duke Mansion in the original work, can do nothing within the jurisdiction of the Martial Soul Hall, while Huo Yuhao can enjoy the student aid benefits provided by the Martial Soul Hall.

This is one of the future possibilities for the Martial Soul Hall, and it is also how most current Douluo readers view it. After all, in everyone's eyes, aside from the higher-ups acting unethically, the Martial Soul Hall is essentially a massive welfare organization.

Moving on to the characters, I believe you can see that many have embarked on completely different paths. The most typical examples are Zhang Peng and Long Xiaoyao. Both were high-ranking figures in the Holy Spirit Cult, but now they are employed by the Martial Soul Hall. Long Xiaoyao even "usurped" Mu En's ecological niche, becoming that old man who wanders around downstairs at the dormitory.

As for Mu En himself... you can all ponder the "Great-Grandfather" that Bei Bei has mentioned a few times in this book.

As for the others in the Holy Spirit Cult, I can only say that they might step onto a brand-new path, or they might continue down their old one. One thing is certain: the Holy Spirit Cult still exists. Never underestimate the malice in human hearts; however, it is far less powerful than it was originally. At the very least, it certainly cannot serve as the final boss of this book.

There is one character who leaves a deep impression on anyone who has read the Peerless Tang Sect: Zhou Yi. In my view, Zhou Yi was truly dedicated to Huo Yuhao; she was undoubtedly a conscientious and responsible teacher. But the problem lies in her being too arbitrary and too self-centered. She was an absolute elitist, and because of that, she hurt many students. Therefore, in this world, she has been demoted from the Unlimited Division to the regular division. In this process, she truly learns how to get along with "non-geniuses."

Regarding Dong'er, I believe you already know from her monologue that she is the Wang Dong'er who loved Huo Yuhao. She has also been reborn into this world, but the two of them recognizing each other will not happen too early, yet it won't be too late either. At least for now, before both have fully adapted to this world, it is not appropriate. Neither of them can be certain if the person in front of them is truly the one they miss, unless they experience a battle they are both intimately familiar with, or a deeply unforgettable event.

There is one more point. I believe you felt something was off in the very first chapter: why does Huo Yuhao have Innate Full Soul Power? Even in later chapters, the talents of Bei Bei and Xu Sanshi—the first "powerhouses" Huo Yuhao comes into contact with—are even more advanced. The Golden Sacred Dragon and the Black Tortoise are configurations that, even in many fanfics, usually belong to the protagonist, yet they appear on these two.

Is it to steal Huo Yuhao's spotlight? That seems unlikely. What I can reveal for now is that this is a hidden thread Chen Mo planted in this world, and it is the true main plot of the book that has yet to be fully unfolded. A small teaser: later on, you will even see a "Big Sister" with the Nine-Headed Phoenix martial soul.
