Strictly speaking, this isn't the first Douluo book I've written, but it is the one I've written most seriously. I got into Douluo very early, and I've always had a strong soft spot for this world. Even if, looking at it now, there are many unsavory and unreasonable things about it, all in all, I'm still willing to keep adding bricks and tiles to this world.
Let's talk about the book itself. It's essentially a "behind-the-scenes" story. I'm sure it's not hard for you readers to see that, on the surface, the protagonist is Huo Yuhao, reborn into the past. But the real protagonist is that mysterious pope from ten thousand years ago, Chen Mo.
The pope was a transmigrator. Like most transmigrators, he had exceptional talent, and he made a name for himself in this world.
Whenever I finished reading a Douluo fanfic, I often found myself wondering: If the protagonist had done something so monumental, how would the future of this world develop? In the next era, would the world change because of the protagonist?
Was there really an irreconcilable, bitter enmity between transmigrators and the original characters? Why couldn't they become friends?
And so, Douluo: This Peerless Tang Sect Has Problems! was born.
Chen Mo came to the world of Douluo I. Relying on his talent and strength, he brought order to the Douluo World and turned every character who would have become an enemy in the original story into an ally. He led the Douluo Continent into a new era, and ensured that the "Spirit Hall" endured into the Peerless Tang Sect era as a social welfare organization.
So you can see Dai Huabin, who used his status to throw his weight around in the White Tiger Duke Mansion in the original story, unable to do a thing within Spirit Hall's jurisdiction. Meanwhile, Huo Yuhao can even enjoy Spirit Hall's educational assistance.
This is one possible future for Spirit Hall, and it's also what most Douluo readers hope to see nowadays. After all, in everyone's eyes, aside from the higher-ups behaving badly, Spirit Hall is fundamentally a massive welfare organization.
Now, as for the characters, I'm sure you've noticed that quite a few of them have taken completely different paths. The most obvious examples are Zhang Peng and Long Xiaoyao. They were both high-ranking members of the Holy Spirit Cult, but now they work for Spirit Hall. Long Xiaoyao has even "stolen" Mu En's niche, becoming that old man who takes a stroll beneath the dormitory building.
As for Mu En himself... you can think about the great-grandfather Bei Bei has mentioned a few times in this book.
As for the other members of the Holy Spirit Cult, all I can say is that they may embark on entirely new paths, or they may stick to their old ones. One thing is certain: the Holy Spirit Cult still exists. Never underestimate the malice in people's hearts. Of course, it's nowhere near as powerful as it was before. At the very least, it certainly can't serve as this book's final boss right now.
There's one character that anyone who's read Peerless Tang Sect will remember vividly: Zhou Yi. In my impression, Zhou Yi was certainly devoted to Huo Yuhao, and there's no doubt she was a conscientious, dedicated teacher. The problem was that she was too overbearing and too self-centered. She was an absolute elitist, and she hurt quite a few students as a result. So in this world, she became a teacher transferred down from the Unlimited Division to the regular division. Through that experience, she truly learned how to get along with "non-geniuses."
As for Dong'er, I'm sure you already know from her monologue that she's Wang Dong'er, the one who was mutually in love with Huo Yuhao. She was also reborn into this world, but the two won't recognize each other too early—or too late. At least for now, before either of them has fully adjusted to this world, it wouldn't be appropriate. Neither can be sure whether the person in front of them is truly the one they've been longing for, unless they go through a battle they both know all too well, or an unforgettable event.
One more thing: I'm sure something felt off to you in the very first chapter. Why did Huo Yuhao have Innate Full Soul Power? And in the chapters that followed, the talents of Bei Bei and Xu Sanshi, the first "strong" people Huo Yuhao met, were even more extraordinary: Golden Sacred Dragon, Black Tortoise. Even in many fanfics, these two Martial Souls are usually reserved for the protagonists, yet now they've appeared in these two characters.
Was this to steal Huo Yuhao's spotlight? That's obviously not the case. What I can reveal for now is that this is a hidden thread Chen Mo planted in this world, and it's also the true main plot of this book, which hasn't yet been brought to the forefront. Here's a little teaser: later on, you'll also get to meet the "older sister" of the Nine-Headed Phoenix Martial Soul.
