Wu Feng grew up alongside Ning Tian in the Nine Treasures Glazed Tile Sect. Their upbringing fostered a strong sense of loyalty; Wu Feng considers Ning Tian the best person in the world and wants to remain at Ning Tian's side as a guardian elder after Ning Tian becomes sect master. Her grandfather holds the title Crimson, which Wu Feng hopes to inherit. 37 38 58

Upon Huo Yuhao and Dong'er's transfer into the Unlimited Division, Wu Feng openly doubted Huo Yuhao's claim of reaching level 15 at age six. When Wang Yan named Huo the class monitor over Ning Tian, she challenged him to a duel, arguing that a support-type spirit master such as Ning Tian could not prove herself in solo combat. 34 35

Wu Feng entered the duel as a level-12 Red Dragon spirit master and witnessed Huo Yuhao's thousand-year first spirit ring. Although Huo outmaneuvered her through mental interference and physical techniques, she quickly recognized his strength, conceded once her stamina and soul power ran low, and accepted him as class monitor. 35 36 37 38
