But at the instant he turned around, Digla moved! Without any visible motion, he was suddenly standing in front of the man.

"Get lost!!!" Seeing someone block his way, the man flew into a rage. A chilling aura flashed around his body, and a fanged, blue-faced monster appeared before lunging at Digla!

"A vampire?!!!!" Solam was even more astonished! They had actually encountered a vampire here!!!

Digla did not seem particularly affected. A cloud of blood mist burst from his body, instantly enveloping the vampire. The vampire then went limp all over, bound by the blood mist.

"Interesting, too interesting! Hehe, to think we'd find a vampire on the Shining Plains—this is far too interesting!" Solam looked at Oscar, whose body had gone soft as mush, then at the horrified vampire, and found the scene immensely amusing. They had come to find the mastermind, yet they had unexpectedly run into a vampire.

This was the Shining Plains! The heartland of the Church of the Three Gods! They could have encountered anything here—except a vampire! The Church of the Three Gods might not have been especially effective at restraining other monsters, but vampires and undead were different. To them, the Church of the Three Gods was the very definition of a natural enemy!

How much nerve did a vampire need to come here just to die?

"Philip, does that move of yours work on vampires?" Solam asked Philip with a grin, "stroking" his chin.

"No problem! As long as there's blood." Philip was not picky. To him, humans were a source of food, and vampires were no different. Though he belonged to the blood race, he was an entirely different species from vampires.

"Then get started. Let me see who's behind this little bat!"

Hearing Solam's words, Philip immediately tossed Oscar
