Malcanthet's conspiracy was proceeding at a furious pace. She knew that once her plan began, it had to be carried through as quickly as possible. The slightest hesitation would bring countless beings out to obstruct her, and Malcanthet would not allow that.
Thus, after killing Nocticula and Socothbenoth, she immediately turned her forces toward the Abyss's 71st layer to subjugate the demon lord of that plane, the succubus lord Neraona.
It was also at this time that Malcanthet's nemesis, Shami-Amor, who had long been imprisoned within the Well of Darkness, began to grow restless. She knew that Malcanthet's ultimate target was undoubtedly herself!
Shami-Amor's anxiety was hardly surprising, because she had once devised the very same plan! Why else would these two women be mortal enemies? In certain ways, they were astonishingly alike.
For instance, manipulating Demogorgon's split personality, and figuring out how to become the one true Queen of Succubi.
Moreover, after Shami-Amor was imprisoned, she had remained in contact with several surviving first-generation succubi through secret channels. Before Nocticula and Socothbenoth died, they passed the news to Shami-Amor through those hidden channels.
Almost the instant she received the news, Shami-Amor immediately used her intelligence network to warn the other surviving first-generation succubi.
But unfortunately, Shami-Amor was still rotting in prison. Even if she gave it everything she had, her warning still needed a considerable amount of time to reach the other first-generation succubi. At the very least, Neraona did not receive Shami-Amor's warning in time.
Before Shami-Amor's warning could reach Neraona's ears, the low-profile succubus lord who enjoyed hunting was already finished. After absorbing Nocticula and Socothbenoth's power, Malcanthet's strength grew at a visible rate, while Neraona had always been alone. The forces under her command could not withstand the attacks of the six Radiant Sisters at all.
