When the main forces of both sides collided, the entire plane trembled. As the master of the Perforated Hive, Talzax's control over the whole plane was beyond question. At this point, he could no longer hold anything back. Using his mastery over the domain, he bestowed the power of the plane upon his own army while doing everything he could to suppress Solam's forces.

However, the suppression had little effect. That was determined by the nature of the Abyss. It never rejected outsiders. In fact, it could be said that the most inclusive place in the entire multiverse was the Abyss. Its gates stood open to all beings, including angels who represented order and goodness.

It did not care about a visitor's identity, faith, alignment, or even purpose. All it wanted was for every resident of the Abyss to spread chaos and evil into every corner of the multiverse! So no matter where you came from, you would ultimately be unable to escape the fate of being corrupted by the Abyss. Its corruption would accompany you at every moment, pushing you onward until it finally drove you toward chaos and evil.

This trait also led to extremely frequent exchanges between the various layers of the Abyss. Even a lowly Dretch, so long as it was not killed, could travel throughout the entire Abyss.
