After chatting for a few moments, Solam and Xianna both fell silent. They had come here for peace and quiet, and after exchanging a few words, each sank into their own silence. Solam simply wanted to be still. He needed to let his brain rest; it felt like a CPU that had been running nonstop for three days and nights, burning hot and in need of shutting down to cool off. As for Xianna, no one knew what she was thinking. She sat in the lounge chair, propping her chin up with one hand while absently swaying the bottle in the other, her eyes fixed silently on the distance.

No one knew how long that quiet lasted before Solam finally snapped out of his daze. When he came back to himself, he realized he had already emptied three bottles of rum. Looking ruefully at the bottles before him, a bitter smile appeared on his lips.

Solam had done some embarrassing things while drunk in the past, making him swear never to get drunk again. But now, he realized that he apparently could not get drunk anymore, and that suddenly made him feel as if something was missing.

After separating from his demon body, Solam had still noticed certain changes in himself. Overall, they were good changes.
