Water Troll Attack

Water trolls were a subspecies of troll, the second most troublesome of all known troll varieties, surpassed only by the ice trolls that lived on alpine snowfields. In certain special environments, they were even stronger than ice trolls. For example, in water!

(Ice trolls were considered the strongest trolls mainly because they were the only troll subspecies with spell-like abilities. Ice trolls could use Ice Armor and Ice Spike, but because the regions they inhabited generally lacked food, their numbers were not particularly large.)

Solam stood by the railing, staring at the river with his scalp tingling. Water trolls could live in any body of water other than the sea, but this troll subspecies was not actually common. Yet what Solam saw now was the river ahead filled with the ugly heads of water trolls!

God knew where these things had come from.

"Roar!!" Godzilla clearly did not like the looks of water trolls, so it launched the first attack. It leaped from the water, spread its wings in midair and glided some distance, then crashed heavily into the river. Its immense size brought immense momentum, and like a depth charge, Godzilla smashed a massive depression into the river ahead of the ship!

"Boom!" The enormous splash flung countless water trolls into the air. They were first knocked unconscious by Godzilla's impact, then tossed skyward by the current like dead fish!

But it did little to the water trolls. Water trolls were still trolls, and trolls were famous for their regenerative abilities. Although the water troll subspecies was somewhat inferior to their land-dwelling cousins in regeneration, it was still extremely formidable. So while those water trolls looked like dead fish now, in less than ten minutes, they would come charging back just as lively as ever.
