However, when Solam saw Klauth's enormous body again, he suddenly understood why. Given Crenshinibon's usual nature, it would never choose such a powerful wielder for itself!
Crenshinibon preferred people like Luther—arrogant yet incompetent, preferably those overflowing with resentment, blaming heaven and earth for their troubles, utterly consumed by adolescent delusions. Only fools like that would unleash the maddest revenge upon the world after suddenly gaining immense power!
A red dragon was clearly not that sort. That was a red dragon! An absolute apex creature of the Material Plane! Born with tremendous power, dragons were also extremely difficult to control mentally. Crenshinibon merely wanted to spread destruction everywhere; it had no interest whatsoever in finding itself a master.
Once he understood that, Klauth's Orichalcum armor no longer seemed so abrupt. Perhaps the red dragon had made himself a suit of Orichalcum armor specifically to trap Crenshinibon, leaving it no chance to escape!
That was highly likely!
Orichalcum was an extraordinarily magic-conductive metal, and it was incomparably hard as well! Using this metal along with magic to create a cage specifically meant to imprison Crenshinibon was absolutely perfect.
That also explained why the red dragon Klauth did not sleep in the Crystal Tower. Since the Crystal Tower had been created by Crenshinibon, Crenshinibon's authority within it was, in essence, greater than anyone else's. If Klauth slept in the Crystal Tower, Crenshinibon might really find a chance to run away.
While Solam's thoughts were racing, a strange energy suddenly burst from Crenshinibon and shot straight toward him! Solam had no time to flee! But just as he thought he had been discovered, he realized that the energy did not harm him. Instead, it made his invisibility even harder to detect!
At the same time, the low murmurs Solam had been ignoring suddenly grew
