"Lord Solam! You must give me an explanation!" Just as Solam felt that the atmosphere was becoming somewhat strange, Marco suddenly stepped forward with an indignant expression, aggressively demanding an explanation from Solam as if he had suffered some tremendous grievance.
"What? What?" Solam had yet to figure out what was going on when he saw Marco's aggrieved, conciliatory look. Instinctively, he assumed that perhaps his landing just now had upset Marco.
Thinking back on it now, Solam also felt that he had gone a little too far. He had actually let Godzilla and the others land inside the city. From up in the air, he had already seen that the entire city was in chaos.
But at the time, Solam had not thought much about it. He had only had one thought: "Don't stop me—I want to show off!"
Really, Solam's thoughts had been that simple. Scaring ordinary people senseless and damaging public facilities had not even crossed his mind. Now that Marco had made an issue of it, Solam actually felt a little guilty.
Just as Solam was preparing to apologize, Marco turned out to be talking about something else entirely.
"Your attendant, Loris! Just moments ago, she brutally and tyrannically killed my soldiers! And now she intends to continue her atrocities! In my capacity as Crimmor's chief governor, I demand that you, Marquis Solam Emmanuel, provide a reasonable explanation! Otherwise, I will bring this before the council. I believe the council will grant Crimmor the justice it deserves!"
Marco sounded utterly righteous, but he had nearly enraged Loris and the others to death. Broadly speaking, Marco was not entirely wrong, but he had concealed the crucial details. He had not mentioned why the conflict had begun at all! To those who did not know the truth, it
